Introduction to West Bengal HS Examination 2019:

  • About: WBCHSE stands for West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education. It is the West Bengal government administered independent examining body for the Standard 12 examination, i.e. Higher secondary exam or Pre-university level exam, of West Bengal, India. 

  • The West Bengal government established the WBCHSE, under WBCHSE Act 1975. The Body looks after the 10+2 education system.

  • Frequency: The WBCHSE West Bengal Class 12 examination is conducted once a year during the last week of March. The exam commences around the last week of March and ends around the second week of April.

  • Exam gets over in a span of 10 to 14 days from the date of the commencement of the examination.

  • Quick Facts: A total of 8,26,029 examinees appeared for Uccha Madhyamik exams out which 4,70,548 were girls and which accounted for 60% of the student strength.
