Sister Nivedita University (SNU) was established in 2017. It is located in New Town, Kolkata. It offers B.Tech, BBA, BCA, BA, B.Sc, B.Stat and B.Com courses at undergraduate level. Sister Nivedita University also offers MBA, MCA, MA, M.Com, M.Sc and M.Stat courses in various specializations at postgraduate level. West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) is the official authority that will be responsible to conduct an entrance exam known as JESNU. The JESNU is popularly known as a Joint Entrance for Sister Nivedita University. However, the Board will conduct the Joint Entrance for Sister Nivedita University at the state level for the eligible applicants. JESNU 2021 Eligibility

Candidate must have completed Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education, West Bengal or any other equivalent exam, and must have at least five recognized subjects along with English subject as a mandatory subject in the qualifying exam. Official authorities have not decided on an upper or lower age limit for the applicants to apply for the admission procedure. One should be a citizen of India in order to apply for the admission procedure. One should be a permanent resident of West Bengal state in order to apply. More than 55% should be scored by the applicant in the qualifying exam. And reserved category applicants should score a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying exam.

GMAT/ CAT/ MAT or EMAT passed candidates are eligible to apply for the MBA course. For other PG courses, the admission is completely merit-based.

JESNU 2021 Exam Syllabus 

JESNU 2021 exam syllabus is based on subjects and topics prescribed by various recognized education boards for 10th and 12th standards. for more detailed information go through the syllabus page.

JESNU 2021 Exam Pattern

JESNU exam pattern will have seven different modules, candidates will have to answer any five. If candidates attempt more than five modules, then his/her scores will be considered in the best of five modules. Every incorrect answer will result in the deduction of 25% of the marks allotted for every question. No marks will be deducted for any unanswered question. 

JESNU 2021 Application Process 

Candidate needs to visit the WBJEEB official website ( for completing the application process of the 2021 exam. JESNU application fee for the candidates is INR 500/- plus Bank Service Charges as applicable. The application fee can be paid by Net Banking or Debit/Credit card.

JESNU 2021 Exam Admit Card 

Candidates need to visit the official website of the WBJEEB Exam to download JESNU Admit card 2021. The Admit Card will be available on 12th June 2021. For duplicate admit card, candidates have to apply to the Board and have to pay a processing fee of INR 500/- by a bank draft in the name of "West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board" payable at Kolkata.

JESNU 2021 Exam Results 

Applicants will be able to get the results of the entrance exam in the month of June 2021. Results will be announced in online mode on the official website of the university for the reference of the applicants. Applicants need to visit the official website of the university and download the result from the website. The result will be available for those applicants who have cleared the entrance exam. Applicants who have scored well in the entrance exam will be eligible to appear for the counseling session.

Yes. There is negative marking for the JESNU 2021 Exam. +2 marks are given for every correct option selected. 0.5 marks are deducted for every incorrect option selected. No marks are given for any question that is left un-attempted.
