Department of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE) Kerala has announced Kerala Plus Two Results 2020 on 15th July at 2 P.M. Students can check the same on keralaresults.nic.in, dhsekerala.gov.in, or on the Kerala Education Board official app Saphalam by providing the necessary credentials. This year a total of 3,75,655 students had appeared for the exam, out of which 3,19,782 students have cleared it with an overall pass percentage of 85.13. Ernakulam has emerged as the best performing region in the state.

Earlier the board was going to announce both the Higher Secondary and Vocational Higher Secondary examination result 2020 on 10th July 2020 which was later postponed considering the triple lockdown implemented in Thiruvananthapuram which remained for a week starting from July 6. 

Joint Director of the Examination Board, Mr S.S. Vivekanandan earlier told that the decision to announce the Kerala plus two examinations 2020 result will be taken after the triple lockdown will be lifted. This year nearly 8 lakh students appeared in the Kerala plus two exams which were concluded on May 30. Board has also released the Kerala SSLC result 2020 on 30th June 2020.

Kerala Board of Higher Secondary Education, Thiruvananthapuram conducts the plus two examinations twice every year, the regular examination in March, and the supplementary examination in May. The grades are evaluated by combining the marks obtained by the candidates in their first and second year Higher Secondary examinations. Based on the total score of the candidate, he/she will be awarded a grade ranging from A+ to E.

In the previous year (2019), nearly 84% of total candidates had cleared the Kerala HSE Class 12 or plus two examinations and 180 candidates secured 100% (1200/1200) marks in all the subjects. Kannur district recorded the highest pass percentage, while Pathanamthitta recorded the lowest.

Note:

  • There will be no separate minimum for CE and PE, whereas a minimum of 48 scores for subjects without practicals and 36 scores for subjects with practicals for TE is compulsory.

  • Candidates should attain D+ Grade in all subjects to become eligible for higher studies.

  • The combined scores obtained by a candidate in the first and second year higher secondary examinations are taken together and grades thereupon will determine the eligibility of the candidate for higher studies.

Guidelines for Revaluation/Rechecking of Answer Scripts

  • The Directorate provides the candidates with the opportunity to get their answer scripts re-valued and scrutinized for those papers without double valuation.

  • Photocopies of the valued answer scripts will be issued upon request. 

  • If there is any complaint regarding valuation, the candidate should apply for revaluation as soon as possible.

  • Written requests for revaluation will not be accepted by the board from any candidate.

  • The application in the prescribed format shall be submitted to the examination centre.
  • The format of the application form is available on the website - www.dhsekerala.gov.in

  • Changes in scores after Revaluation/Scrutiny shall be effected and a revised certificate/scoresheet will be issued to the candidate.

  • For issuing a revised certificate, the original certificate of the candidate should be submitted to the Directorate within one month after the publication of the revised result.

  • Applications turned in after the last date for Revaluation and Scrutiny will not be considered.

  • The fee for the application for the photocopy of answer scripts of all examinations conducted in 2020, submitted after the last date prescribed and before 31st March 2020 shall be INR 1000 per paper.

  • Applications for the photocopy of answer scripts received after the final date will not be accepted by the board.
