Kerala Plus Two Result 2021

The Department of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE), Kerala, announces the results in May every year. However, this year the exams were postponed due to the Assembly elections. Initially, the exams were scheduled to commence in March. The Kerala Plus Two exams will begin on 8th April 2021 and conclude on 29th April 2021. The Kerala Plus Two result will be announced after 30-45 days of the conclusion of exams. Therefore, students can expect the results to be released in June (tentative). Students can check their results on, or the Kerala Education Board's official app 'Saphalam.'

Kerala Board of Higher Secondary Education, Thiruvananthapuram, conducts the plus two examinations twice every year, the regular examination in March and the supplementary examination in May. The grades are evaluated by combining the candidates' marks in their first and second-year Higher Secondary examinations. Based on the candidate's total score, he/she will be awarded a grade ranging from A+ to E.

How to Check Kerala Plus Two Result 2021?

Students can check their Kerala 12th result 2021 from the official website by following the step-by-step procedure given below.

Step 2: Candidates are required to click on the "DHSE Exam Results 2021" link on the homepage.

Step 3: A new window pops up with fields where details are to be filled, such as "Roll Number," "Date of Birth," and click on the "Submit" button.

Grading System of Kerala Plus Two Result 2021

The Kerala Plus Two exams will be conducted in the written mode. A candidate must score a minimum of 30% to be qualified as a "Pass" in that particular subject. Students can refer to the following grading system of Kerala Plus Two result to understand -

Score between 100 – 119 with TE Score greater than or equal to 30% of TE Maximum


Score between 80 - 99 with TE Score greater than or equal to 30% of TE Maximum


Score between 60 - 79 with TE Score greater than or equal to 30% of TE Maximum


Score between 40 - 59 or TE Score less than 30% of TE Maximum

  • There will be no separate minimum for CE and PE, whereas a minimum of 48 scores for subjects without practicals and 36 scores for subjects with practicals for TE is compulsory.

  • Candidates should attain a D+ Grade in all subjects to become eligible for higher studies.

  • The combined scores obtained by a candidate in the first and second year higher secondary examinations are taken together, and grades thereupon will determine the candidate's eligibility for higher studies.

Guidelines for Revaluation/Rechecking of Answer Scripts

Students who are not satisfied with their results have an opportunity to get their answer scripts re-valued and scrutinized for those papers without double valuation. The guidelines and process for revaluation of answer scripts is given below -

  • Photocopies of the valued answer scripts will be issued upon request. 

  • If there is any complaint regarding valuation, the candidate should apply for revaluation as soon as possible.

  • The board will not accept written requests for revaluation from any candidate.

  • The application in the prescribed format shall be submitted to the examination centre.
  • Changes in scores after Revaluation/Scrutiny shall be effected, and a revised certificate/score sheet will be issued to the candidate.

  • For issuing a revised certificate, the candidate's original certificate should be submitted to the Directorate within one month after the publication of the revised result.

  • Applications turned in after the last date for Revaluation and Scrutiny will not be considered.

  • The fee for the application for the photocopy of answer scripts of all examinations conducted in 2021, submitted after the last date prescribed, shall be INR 1000 per paper.

  • The board will not accept applications for the photocopy of answer scripts received after the final date.

Kerala Plus Two Result 2020 Statistics

Last year, the Kerala Plus Two exams were conducted from 10th March 2020 to 26th March 2020. However, the exams scheduled after 22nd March 2021 were postponed till May due to the country-wide lockdown. The following is the information on the performance of Kerala Plus Two exam of the year 2020 - 

  • Last year, Kerala Plus Two board examination, over 3,75,655 candidates appeared, and out of which only 85.13% of candidates cleared the examination.

  • Ernakulam district has the highest pass percentage of 87.44% in Kerala Plus Two exams 2020.

  • Kerala plus two results streamwise pass percentage for last year is as follows:

    • Science Stream- 86%

    • Arts Stream- 98.75%

    • Humanities Stream-77.76%

    • Technical Stream- 89.95%

    • Commerce Stream- 84.52%
