NIOS Board Exam 2021 (Cancelled)

NIOS has collaborated with the Commonwealth of Learning (COL) and UNESCO. These two departments develop education programs and courses to allow the learners in pursuing the study of their choice. In addition, both departments collaborate to build functional systems to benefit the students. NIOS has enrolled nearly 1.5 million candidates from 2004 to 2009 at Secondary and Senior Secondary levels and enrols about 350,000 students annually, making it the world's most extensive open schooling system.

The National Institute of Open Schooling will be one of the first Indian school boards to provide online board exams starting in 2022. (NIOS). NIOS has also created a virtual school, the first of its type, to prevent any future academic losses for its 40 lakh students caused by the disruption of human contact sessions. The virtual school aids learning by providing virtual labs for simulation, a digital library for reference materials, and online exams. In addition, NIOS is the only board in the country that offers secondary and senior secondary education in 14 languages.
