nios results 2021 The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), formerly known as the National Open School. The 'National Open School'name was changed to NIOS in the year 2002. NIOS is a board of education under the Union Government of India. Similar to the CBSE and the CISCE, the national board conducts examinations for the 10th and 12th classes of open schools in order to increase the literacy rate and to provide quality education to rural and urban areas. It also offers several vocational courses after high school. The Academic Department and the Vocational Education Department are the two most important departments of the NIOS. 

The NIOS board normally announces the result of class 10th in June for exams conducted during the month of March-April. Similarly, the exams for the NIOS class 12th conducted during March-April are declared in June. NIOS board conducts the exam every year and publishes the results 6 weeks after the last exam concludes.

How to check the NIOS Results 2021 online? 

The step by step procedure to download NIOS result 2021 online for class 10th is given below: 

Step 1: Visit the official website of NIOS - nios.ac.in

Step 2: Click on the "Results" option at the top of the homepage.

Step 4: Click on the "Check Result" under the "Public Examination Result" section on the page.

Step 5: Candidates are required to enter the "Enrollment Number" and click on the "Submit" button to get the results.

Step 2: Send the message to 56263.

Step 3: NIOS 10th Result will be sent to you via SMS.

Step 4: Students must take a screenshot of their NIOS Result 2021 Class 10 and secure it for future references.

How to check your NIOS Result for class 10th 2021 using Digilocker?

The step by step procedure to download NIOS result 2021 for class 10th using Digilocker is given below: 

Step 1: Students have to register themselves on DigiLocker.

Step 2: On the upper right-hand corner, there will be a green tab ‘Sign In’ and in a blue tab ‘Sign Up’. If you do not have a Digilocker account, you can create one via the ‘Sign Up’ tab. Clicking on a tab will take you to the next page.

Step 3: Here you will have to give your mobile number or your Aadhaar card number which is linked to a working mobile number. You will receive an OTP for confirmation.

Step 4: Once you enter your mobile number or your Aadhaar card number, which is linked to a working mobile number, you will receive an OTP which you will have to enter here. If you do not receive it within 30 seconds, you can request a new one.

Step 5: Once you successfully enter the OTP, you will be asked to create a new DigiLocker account. You will have to provide the following information:

  • Full name
  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • Email ID

Step 6: Once the account is created successfully, then the students can easily check the NIOS 10th result 2021.

NIOS Result 2021 Details

NIOS result will contain the following information and students should verify all the details for any mistakes. 

  1. Candidate’s Name

  2. Enrollment Number of the Students

  3. Roll Number of the Students

  4. Registration Number 

  5. Board’s Name  

  6. Name of the School  

  7. School Code 

  8. Subject Code and Name

  9. Marks in the Subjects (Theory & Practical) obtained

  10. Total Obtained Marks

  11. Percentage of the Marks Obtained

On-Demand Examination System (ODES)

The learner has the option to appear in the examination through NIOS On-Demand Examination System (ODES). In case the learner is already a registered learner of NIOS at the secondary or the senior secondary level. He/she can appear in the examination through ODES as per his/her wish and preparation as and when he/she feels ready for the examination, subject to availability of the seats in the examination centre.

Registration for On-Demand NIOS Examination (ODE)

To avail the facility of the On-Demand Examination System (ODES), the learner has to be a registered one as a bonafide learner of NIOS having the enrolment number and a valid identity card. Only through t online registration is available for ODES existing learners. To know the ODE registration procedure, you may visit the NIOS website  nios.ac.in (click on On-Demand Examination System – thereafter click on online ODE registration for existing learners).

Original identity card must be bought by the learners which are issued by NIOS along with any other valid photo identity proof e.g., driving license, voter identity card, passport, aadhaar card, etc., for appearing in an ODE, and the complete print out of the computer-generated ODE registration application.

Examination fee for ODE is as under :

  • Secondary level Rs.500/- + Rs.200/- extra for a subject involving practical.
  • Senior secondary level Rs.500/- + Rs.200/- extra for a subject involving practical.

A candidate can appear for ODE at the concerned regional centre or NIOS headquarters, Noida or in the concerned Kendriya Vidyalaya. Delhi region learners can appear for ODE at NIOS headquarters, NOIDA, Uttar Pradesh. The overseas learner can appear from any of the ODE centres of NIOS. The on-demand examination fee can be paid either through credit card, debit card or net banking. Only for overall pass candidates, the mark sheets and other documents will be prepared by the M&M unit, department of evaluation, NIOS and will be sent to the concerned regional centres for despatch to individual learners.

Other learners wanting Mark Sheet can send their requests through an application attaching the Internet print out and a bank draft of Rs. 100/- in favour of 'Secretary, NIOS', payable at NOIDA to the Assistant Director (M&M Unit), National Institute of Open Schooling, A-24-25, Institutional Area, Sector-62, NOIDA-201309, Uttar Pradesh. ODE online registration is not permitted twice a month in a particular subject. 

NOTE: NIOS does not issue any School Leaving/Bonafide/Date of Birth/Transfer/Character Certificate separately to its learners.

Issue of Marksheet and Certificate of the Examination

The candidate shall receive a mark sheet on the declaration of result through his/her AI. Provisional and migration certificates will be issued to successful learners only. The pass certificate will be issued in about six months after the declaration of the result. In case the candidates pass in the additional subject(s) or case of improvement of performance in one or more subjects, no fresh migration or Pass certificate will be issued. Only the learner will be issued a mark sheet. Migration certificates will not be issued to learners unless they complete their courses of study. 

Note: In case any discrepancy is noticed by the learner in the result after the declaration of the result of public examination/on-demand examination, he/she will have to apply for the same to the concerned regional director within 30 days of the declaration of the result along with the incorrect documents issued by NIOS, failing that no request will be entertained.
