Karnataka SSLC Social Science exam pattern 2026 - Section Wise

The Karnataka SSLC exams are worth 100 marks, of which 20 are for the internal assessment and 80 are for the theory paper.The six sections of the social science theory paper have a total score of 80.8 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in Section I are worth one mark each, for a total of eight marks. Section II comprises 8 very short answer questions, each scoring one mark, for a total of eight marks. Section III consists of 8 short answer questions, each scoring two marks, for a total score of sixteen marks. Section IV consists of 9 long answer questions at three marks each, for a total of twenty-seven marks. 4 very long answer questions, each worth four marks, make up Section V, which is worth sixteen marks. Section VI has 1 map related question and is worth five marks. The exam lasts for three hours and fifteen minutes. The Karnataka SSLC Social Science Exam Pattern 2026 is detailed in the table below:
