The Karnataka SSLC Science examination format is comprised of three parts. Part A: MCQs & VSA (Objective Type) is made up of MCQs and very short answer questions to test your understanding of basic concepts, words and direct application. You will see 10 MCQs at 1 mark each and 10 very short answer questions at 1 mark each in this part. Part B: SA & LA (Short & Long Answer Questions) contains questions that ask for a short explanation, derivation or reasoning in your answers. In this part, there will be 8 short answer questions (2 marks each) and 6 long answer questions (3 marks each).
Part C: VLA & Diagrams (Very Long Answer Questions and Diagrams) contains questions that require a short answer, explanation, derivation or reasoning as in Part B, as well as including a labeled diagram for the answer. Questions that ask for diagrams for biology and physics will appear here. In this part there will be 4 very long answer questions (4 marks each) and 2 diagram questions (5 marks each).
