The AP SSC Science theory paper is divided into two paper - General Science 1 comprised of Physics and Chemistry and General Science 2 comprised of Biology.Each of the two papers is worth 50 marks, for a total score of 100 marks. The exam pattern of both the papers is different. In the Physical Science paper, there are four sections.8 objective type questions in Section I are worth one mark each, for a total of 8 marks.3 very short answer questions in Section II are worth two marks each, for a total of 6 marks. 3 short answer questions in Section III are worth four marks each, for a total score of 12. 3 long answer questions in Section IV are worth eight marks each, for a total of 24 marks. In the Biological Science paper, also there are four sections. 6 objective type questions in Section I are worth one mark each, for a total of 6 marks.There are 4 very short answer questions in Section II, each worth two marks, for a total of 8 marks. 5 short answer questions in Section III are worth four marks each, for a total score of 20.There are 2 long answer questions in Section IV, each worth eight marks, for a total of 16 marks.
