ICSE Class 10 Geography Syllabus 2024: Marking Scheme

The ICSE examination 2024 for geography contains two parts. The first part includes two short answer questions based on the Topographical Map and Map of India. The second part includes five descriptive questions where candidates need to use sketches, diagrams, graphs, and charts while answering the questions.

ICSE Class 10 Geography Syllabus 2024: Internal Assessment

As per the geography syllabus for class 10 ICSE 2024, the internal assessment of geography subject contains project work. A total of 20 marks are allotted for the internal assessment of the Geography subject. 

Project Work: Students need to prepare a project report and take up assignments based on any topic assigned by the board. The project work will contain 10 marks.

The evolution process under ICSE Class 10 Geography is conducted by an internal and external examiner. Each of them is allotted 10 marks to evaluate the performance of a student.

  • The project or practical work will be evaluated only by the internal and external examiners.
  • The school head is responsible for appointing the external examiner will be appointed by the school head, who is not a teacher of the same class. 
  • The total marks earned in the internal assessment will be sent to the council by the school head after the conclusion of all the assessments from examiners.
