Tamil Nadu 10th Science exam pattern 2026 - Section Wise

The Tamil Nadu 10th Science exam consists of a 75-mark theory section and a 25-mark practical section. The Science theory paper is divided into four sections. There are twelve multiple-choice (MCQ) questions in Part I. Each of these questions is worth one mark out of a possible twelve. You will receive a total of fourteen marks if you correctly answer seven of the ten very short answer questions in Part II, each of which is worth two marks. Seven of the ten short answer questions in Part III are worth four of the twenty-eight possible points. You will receive a total of 21 marks for responding to the three long answer questions in Part IV, each of which is worth seven marks. Three hours are needed to finish the exam.
