Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) will be revising the Class 10 English syllabus for 2026 by removing certain chapters and topics. The modification will be done to reduce academic pressure and help you to focus more on core concepts, which are essential for the board exam. Knowing the revised syllabus as well as the exam pattern can greatly enhance your preparation. The RBSE 10th Deleted Syllabus 2026 for English includes topics that are irrelevant and outdated. Such topics are removed from the syllabus. You don't have to study these topics, and questions will not be asked in the exam from the deleted topics.
You should focus on the updated syllabus only. It will be uploaded on the official website of the RBSE. This step taken by the board has reduced academic pressure among students. They can now focus on relevant and important topics of English. They have more time to make their concepts strong and practice questions. If you will be appearing for the RBSE 10th Exam in the upcoming session, you must refer to both the deleted and updated syllabus. You will have a total of 3 hours and 15 minutes to complete the RBSE 10th English paper worth 80 marks, and the remaining 20 marks will be for the internal tests like listening, speaking, and project work—making it a total of 100 marks. The question paper has questions from Reading section (15 marks), Writing section (13 marks), and Grammar section (12 marks). In addition, 28 marks are assigned to questions from your main book, First Flight, and 12 marks are assigned to questions from the supplementary reader, Footprints Without Feet.
