CUET Merit List 2025

Using these students' raw marks, the percentiles (PStu1, PStu2, PStu3, PStu4, PStu5, PStu6) of these six students in a given topic are calculated and ordered in decreasing order.
Their Raw Marks (RMStu1, RMStu2, RMStu3, RMStu4, RMStu5, RMStu6 ) in the test in each shift are also noted, corresponding to their percentiles.
Calculate the Marks of the Students Using Linear Interpolation
Interpolation is a mathematical method for predicting missing marks of students absent in one shift since they took the test in the other. Because some students (Stu2, Stu4, Stu6) attended shift-1 but not shift-2, their raw marks for shift-2 will be missing.
Similarly, pupils (Stu1,Stu3, Stu5) who took the exam during shift-2 will receive no marks for shift-1. These missing marks are then calculated for each candidate in each shift using the interpolation method.

Calculate the Normalized Marks on a Common Scale
Candidates' percentile scores, sorted in descending order, will include marks for both shifts, raw marks, and interpolated marks. Raw marks are provided during the shift in which the student has a written test, and interpolated marks are calculated during the other shift because the student cannot have a written examination on the same topic for a second time.
- NTA will then compute the average of the actual raw grades in one shift and the marks derived by interpolation in the other shift for each student.
