UGC is likely to combine the major entrance exams of the country, NEET UG and JEE Main, into CUET to conduct a single entrance exam for admission to Medical, Engineering, and University programs. The commission is planning to merge the major exams to CUET to reduce the confusion and redundancy of conducting three different exams with the same subjects, namely Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology.
Exam dates for CUET 2023 are likely to be spread out across a four-day period with two slots each day. The exam is held for admission to 58 postgraduate (PG) courses and two undergraduate (UG) or integrated courses at the Central Universities of India. Applicants who qualify for CUET 2023 and the counselling process will be given admission to the courses they applied for in these 42 participating universities.
