What is the CUET Percentile?
The CUET percentile is the candidate's score in comparison to other candidates' marks. One must not confuse the CUET percentile and percentage, which are related but different.
The CUET marks are the raw marks obtained by the candidate through their performance. CUET marks are absolute, while the CUET percentile is a relative assessment through the normalization process.
In the CUET exam, the subjects' exams are conducted in multiple phases over a number of days. The normalization method is used to calculate the CUET percentile. Through the normalization method, the CUET 2026 percentile is calculated as follows.
|
100 x Number of candidates who were in the session with a raw score equal to or less than the score of the candidate ÷ Total Number of candidates who were in the session. |
