About Central University of Orissa, Koraput

The Central University of Orissa was established by the Parliament under the Central Universities Act, 2009. It is one of the 15 new Central Universities established by the Government of India during the UGC XI Plan period to address the concerns of equity and access and as per the policy of the Government of India to increase the access to quality higher education by people in less educationally developed districts which have a Graduate Enrollment Ratio of less than the national average.The objectives of the University is to provide quality education for all and advocate a wholesome symbiosis of the indigenous and global scene.

Eligibility Criteria at Central University of Orissa, Koraput

• The applicant must have 50% in his/her standard 12 in order to write the examination, CUCET. 
• For postgraduate courses, the applicant must have 50% (aggregate) in his/her undergraduate course
• Candidates who hail from SC/ST/OBC must secure 45% in order write the examination, CUCET

Admission Procedure at Central University of Orissa, Koraput

• The application forms are issued online 
• Students with the eligibility criteria may apply for the exam 
• Once the form is submitted online, the student will be notified about the exam date
• A common entrance exam, CUCET is conducted for all the central universities
• Candidates who are awaiting results may also apply for the exam
• After the exam, the selected students will be called for counseling/ Interviews 
• The final list is drawn by the admission committee
• The reservation of candidates is as per the Government of India (GOI) norms
