Eligibility Criteria of Central University of Kerala

  • Candidate is eligible to apply for MA/M.Sc courses if he/she has done 10+2 and graduation from a recognised institution or a foreign board recognised by Association of Indian Universities.
  • Candidate should have a minimum of 55% marks in the concerned subject in their post graduation in science, minimum of 50% marks in the concerned subject in their post graduation in humanities.
  • There is a relaxation 5% for SC/ST students.
  • Candidates should be at least 20 years old and not older than 25 years.

Admission Procedure of Central University of Kerala

  • Admission of candidates is based on Central Universities Common Entrance Test which is an all-India test being organized by ten Central Universities together, for admission to about 200 Integrated, Postgraduate & Research Programmes in Universities.
  • CUCET provides a single window opportunity to the students to seek admission to about 200 programmes across ten Universities.

Hostel Details


Hostel Details of Central University of Kerala

  • There are four, 2 girls and 2 boys hostels for accommodating over 100 students.
  • The university offers residential facility for its students.
  • There are limited seats available for girls and boys is separate hostels.
  • The limited accommodation facility is available on a come-first serve basis.
  • The hostels have mess facility to offer as well. The menu is decided by the students themselves on consensus.
  • Sports and Recreation facilities are available in the hostels.
  • Residents need special permission for staying on campus beyond the regular hours.
  • For accommodation in a hostel, the candidate is supposed to collect a prescribed application form at the time of admission and submit the duly filled in application to the Office of the Dean of Students. Two passport size photographs are to be submitted to the office of the Dean of Students at the time of hostel admission. Any application of a student to any officer must be forwarded through the Hostel Superintendent.The mess is completely run by the students on a shared basis. The student mess committees run the hostel mess. A deposit of Rs. 2000/- is to be made.
