According to the latest news, JEE Mains will be held 4 times in a year starting 2021. Here in this section, details about JEE Main form release date, exam dates, and result dates are available. Students who are eligible to appear for JEE Main 2021 can apply for the exam based on the dates given below. The official dates of JEE Main 2021 as per the official release by NTA is given in the below section for the reference.

NOTE: NTA has opened the application filling window only for students in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh regions.

JEE Main Exam Date 2021 Schedule

All candidates are advised to register for the JEE Mains 2021 well before the last date of JEE Main 2021 Registration. As per the latest update on Twitter by the Union Education Minister of India, Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, it is confirmed that JEE Main 2021 exam will be held 4 times in a year, starting in February, followed by March, April and May. This new change has brought relaxation to all aspiring candidates as they have the option to appear for the JEE Main exam as per their convenience. JEE Main 2021 February Exam would be conducted from February 23, 2021 to February 26, 2021.

The JEE Main 2021 is usually conducted in two shifts i.e.

  • First Shift: 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM
  • Second Shift: 03:00 PM to 06:00 PM

JEE Main Exam 2021 February Session Schedule

Candidates must go through the schedule of the JEE Main 2021 February session dates to understand how the various rounds of the exam are conducted. The table consists of the name of the paper for a particular course and the specified subjects of the paper, along with the mode of the exam. The timing of the two shifts in which the exam will be conducted will be updated once the exam's official notification is released. Before 2021, JEE Main exam was conducted in January; however, the latest update confirmed that the new 2021 session would be conducted in the month of February starting February 23, 2021, till February 26, 2021, owing to delays in Board examinations throughout the country.

JEE Main 2021 Exam Day Guidelines

National Testing Agency, i.e., NTA is responsible for releasing the JEE Main 2021 exam day guidelines along with the JEE Main admit card. JEE Main will be conducted four times a year for all engineering aspirants starting 2021. The authorities have decided to organize the JEE Main exam 2021 as a computer-based test (CBT) across four sessions: February, March, April and May sessions. While as an exception, the drawing section of Paper 2 (B.Arch) is organized in regular pen and paper tests. Going through JEE Main 2021 exam day guidelines will ensure a smooth process during the exam.

JEE Main 2021 Admit Card will be made available on the official website by NTA for all successfully registered candidates. It is essential that all JEE Main 2021 exam day guidelines be adhered to by the candidates appearing for the examination. Being aware of the various JEE Main exam day guidelines is relevant for all candidates as it will enable the candidates to be well prepared and avoid mistakes unwittingly. All information related to the examination is given on the official website. Candidates can also refer to their JEE Main 2021 admit card to get all the relevant JEE Main exam day guidelines 2021 and gain more clarity about the exam day, among other essential information regarding the exam centre. Some important guidelines to be followed are given below for all candidates to refer to:

Candidates can check their Exam Date and Shift on the official website by providing their application number. All candidates must reach the exam center at least 2 hours before the commencement of the JEE Main Exam.

Prohibited: In case a candidate gives false information and appears in more than one slot/date of the computer-based examination or appears in both the modes of examination i.e., pen & paper-based (only for drawing) and computer-based examination, then the candidature of that candidate will be cancelled.

Documents to be carried to the exam centre: Along with the JEE Main 2021 admit card, candidates will have to carry a few important documents to the exam centre. Permission to attend the exam will not be granted otherwise.

  • One passport size photograph (As submitted in the online application form of JEE Main 2021).
  • Original valid photo ID proof issued by the government (PAN card, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, Aadhaar card with photograph, E-Aadhar, Ration Card)
  • PwD certificate issued by the competent authority (if applicable).

In case of the male candidate, left hand thumb impression is required. Right thumb impression is required in case of the female candidate. In case the candidate uploads the wrong thumb, then he/she has to apply the same thumb on the attendance sheet during examination as provided in the online application.
