The Central University of Punjab (CUP), established in 2009 under the Central Universities Act, is located in Ghudda, Bathinda, Punjab, with a 500-acre campus designed. Recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and accredited with an A+ grade by NAAC in 2023, CUP ranks 83rd in the NIRF 2024 University category and 23rd in Pharmacy.

Central University of Punjab operates through 12 schools and 31 departments, offering over 5 undergraduate, 50 postgraduate, 4 certificate, 3 diploma, and doctoral programs in streams like Engineering, Sciences, Arts, Humanities, Law, Management, and Pharmacy. Popular courses include B.Tech, M.Sc., M.A., MBA, and M.Pharm. Admissions are entrance-based, accepting CUET UG for UG courses, CUET PG for PG courses, JEE Main for B.Tech, GATE for M.Tech, GPAT for M.Pharm, and UGC NET for Ph.D.

The placement cell at CUP achieved a 21% placement rate for PG students in 2024, with a highest package of INR 4.0 LPA and a median of INR 3.0 LPA, as per NIRF 2024.

Central University of Punjab Admission 2025

Central University of Punjab admission 2025 is entrance-based for most courses. The university takes admission to UG courses based on CUET UG, and CUET PG for PG courses. Candidates must appear for the respective entrance examination and register on the official website. The registration process is completely online, and it usually begins in June or July every year after the CUET result declaration. The complete Central University of Punjab admission process for UG and PG courses is as follows:  For UG & PG Courses (Through CUET): 

• To be admitted to the UG&PG courses, the students must have to get a qualifying score in the CUET entrance exam.
• Once the result is declared. Central University of Punjab releases its merit/cut-off list for the different programs on its website cup.edu.in 
• If your score falls within the released cut-off list, you are eligible for counseling.
• Students must register themselves for online counseling through eCounseling in by uploading the required documents and details.
• After that, pay the fees, and your admission is done.

Central University of Punjab CUET Cutoff 2024

Central University of Punjab Cutoff 2025 is released based on entrance examination scores. For both UG and PG courses, the cutoff marks are released in the form of a merit list based on CUET UG and CUET PG scores, respectively. Central University of Punjab Cutoff is the final score required for admission to the desired courses. Candidates must aim for 50–70% percentile scores for admission to courses like B.A, B.Pharma, M.Tech, M.Sc
