The NEET result 2021 will be announced by the National Testing Agency on their official website. The candidates will be able to view their results by logging in using their roll numbers, registered email ID, and the date of birth provided by them. The NEET exam will be held on Sep 12, 2021. National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to declare NEET 2021 result by October, 2021 tentatively, in online mode, in the form of a scorecard. Along with the NEET result 2021, NTA will also release the final answer key. Both will be available to download on the official website of NTA. The candidates must note that the scorecard will not be sent to them by post. There is no provision to request revaluation of the NEET 2021 result either. The result once declared shall be considered final. The Counselling for NEET 2021 will be held after the exam the candidates who crack the exam will have to go through this process.

NTA NEET Result 2021 Highlights

The NEET 2021 result shall contain details like the name of the aspirant, his/her date of birth, subject-wise marks secured, the total percentile scores, NEET All India Rank (AIR), All India Quota (AQI) Rank, as well as the category rank. Along with the NEET 2021 result, the marks equivalent to the cut off percentile will also be declared. Minimum cut off for general category is around 50, while that for the SC/ST/OBC categories is 40 percentile.

Based on the cut off percentile, the result will be announced. Based on the NEET result 2021, the allocation of the 15% All India Quota seats, the 85% state quota seats, 100% deemed, and the central university colleges.

  • Step 1: Visit the official website of NTA
  • Step 2: Search for the NEET 2021 results link, and click on that link.

NEET Merit List 2021

NTA produces several category-wise merit lists, in consideration with the NEET result 2021. Based on these merit lists, the institutions carry out the proceeding NEET counselling rounds. The list of seat allotment is also prepared through the same list.

The three types of NEET merit lists 2021 are given below:

Overall Merit List

Every candidate who appears for NEET 2021 shall find his/her name in this overall merit list declared by the National Testing Agency. This list is forwarded to every institution that carries out counselling rounds for NEET 2021. The list shall contain scores obtained by each candidate, his or her rank, etc.

15% All India Quota Merit List

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is responsible for creation of this NEET merit list. It contains names of all the candidates who were successful in qualifying the NEET exam 2021.

State Quota Merit List

It must be known that 85% of the seats available in a state are reserved for candidates belonging to that state. The candidates have to enrol themselves for the counselling process of that state. The state is responsible for the creation of this merit list, containing the names of all the candidates who shall be given these seats.

NTA NEET Result 2021 Tie-Breaking Criteria

Owing to a large number of candidates who attend the NEET, it's not very rare for two or more candidates to secure the same marks. The tie-breaking procedure followed to allot different rankings when two or more candidates secure the same marks in the NEET result is provided below.

  • Candidate with a higher score in Biology will be given a higher order to merit.
  • If the score in Biology is the same for two or more candidates, then the candidate with a higher score in Chemistry will be considered for a higher rank in merit.
  • If the score in Biology and Chemistry is the same for two or more candidates, then the candidate with less number of incorrect answers will be considered for a higher rank in merit.
  • If all the above are the same for two or more candidates, then the candidate who is older in age will be considered for a higher rank in merit.

NEET Result Validity 2021
