The Government of India and other private organizations provide distinct types of scholarships to academically brilliant candidates who qualify for various scholarship schemes. The priority of different types of scholarships in India is to nurture and assist deserving students and help them grow into young leaders. Therefore, different types of scholarships and the maximum rewards presented to the selected applicants are consolidated and furnished underneath.

Types of Scholarships

There are different types of scholarships in India primarily conducted to finance those families who are unable to monetize their children’s education. It aims to provide quality education to meritorious applicants and empowers them to aspire higher. The applicants applying for various scholarships will be rewarded with various monetary benefits. Merit Based Scholarships

The merit-based scholarships are available to encourage and financially support meritorious students to overcome financial hurdles and complete their higher education. Thus, the support from the scholarships aids in the student’s learning and encourages them to aim high in their respective careers. Some of the merit-based scholarships are given in the following table.

Means Based Scholarships

Mean based scholarships are offered to underprivileged students belonging to the backward areas of India. Despite being academically exceptional, these students are deprived of higher education due to their financial and social restrictions. The income-based scholarships are proposed for intelligent students from low-income households and aims to provide them with ample opportunities to complete their education. Merit-cum-Means Based Scholarships

College/school students can avail various types of scholarships in India. The merit-cum-means based scholarships are put forward mainly to help those extraordinary students who face financial restraints in continuing their higher education. To provide them with financial support, many government institutions have taken the initiative to offer merit-cum-means based scholarships. Step 2- After opening the website, new users must register themselves to get login details.

Step 3- Applicants can now select the preferred scholarship and fill out the application form's required information.

Step 4- Then, the candidates must preview the form, whether the filled information is correct or not and upload the documents needed.

Step 5- Finally, they can submit the scholarship application form.
