TS ePASS Scholarship (Telangana ePASS)

TS ePASS offers pre-matric, post-matric, and overseas scholarships to the students of Telangana having an SC, ST, BC, EBC, and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) background. The State Government of Telangana is providing post-matric scholarships to worthy candidates for the 2023-24 academic year.

Moreover, the candidates who have applied for the scholarship in the previous year must renew their TS ePASS scholarship application annually till the completion of their education. The TS intermediate scholarship last date 2023-24 is expected to be on December 31, 2024.

List of TS ePASS Scholarship 2023-24

The Telangana Government provides scholarships for students from class IX and above. Listed below are the different scholarships available on the TS ePASS portal: 

• TS ePASS Pre-Matric Scholarship
• TS ePASS post-matric Scholarship
• Mahatma Jyothiba Phule Overseas Vidya Nidhi Scholarship
• Chief Minister's Overseas Scholarship
• Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi Scholarship 

TS ePASS Pre-Matric Scholarship 

The Telangana Government offers the TS ePASS pre-matric scholarship to students studying class IX and class X. They should belong to the SC, ST, BC, EBC, minority and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories. The aim is to prevent dropouts and offer financial support to students aiming to pursue higher education.

Eligibility Criteria 

The applicants should be domiciles of Telangana and belong to the reserved categories. The other eligibility criteria are as follows: 

• The students should be studying class IX or class X.
• They should belong to the SC/ST, BC, EBC, PwD, and minority
• They should have 75% attendance at the end of each quarter.
• The family income of the SC/ST students should not be more than INR 2,00,000 per annum.
• The family income of EBC, BC, and minority students living in the rural areas should not exceed INR 1,50,000 per annum.
• The family income of the EBC, BC, and minority students' hailing from the urban areas should not exceed INR 2,00,000 per annum.
• The family income of the differently-abled students should not be more than INR 1,00,000 per annum. 

Rewards 

The selected scholars will receive variable monetary benefits, and the rewards will be as per the Telangana state corpus scholarship funds. The Government will directly transfer the TS ePASS scholarship amount to the beneficiary's bank account through the Direct Benefits Transfer (DBT). 

TS ePASS Post-Matric Scholarship 

The Telangana Government offers financial support to candidates from class XI to PhD level through the Post-Matric Scholarship (PMS). The students can apply online through the TS ePASS portal. The Department of Backward Class Welfare provides post-matric scholarships to students. PMS offers financial aid to candidates pursuing intermediate, ITI, polytechnic, graduation, post-graduation, professional courses, and PhD.

Eligibility Criteria 

Telangana domiciles belonging to the SC/ST, BC, EBC, minority, and PwD categories can apply to the scholarship. To be eligible, the candidates should meet the following requirements: 

• They should have cleared the class X exam and should be pursuing class XI or above.
• They should have maintained at least 75% attendance in class X.
• The candidates should belong to the SC/ST, BC, EBC, PwD, and minority
• They should be domiciles of Telangana.
• The family income of the SC/ST students should not exceed INR 2,00,000 per annum.
• The family income of the BC, EBC, and PwD students living in the rural areas should not exceed INR 1,50,000 per annum.
• The family income of the BC, EBC, and PwD students living in the urban areas should not be more than INR 2,00,000 per annum.

Benefits 

The Government will reimburse the scholars' fee depending on the course of study. They will also receive additional rewards. Listed below are the benefits of the TS ePASS post-matric scholarship: 

• The state will refund up to 100% of the tuition fee ranging
• For candidates pursuing self-financed courses, the government will offer around INR 20,000 or the actual fee, whichever is lesser. 

Mahatma Jyothiba Phule BC/EBC Overseas Vidya Nidhi Scholarship 

The Mahatma jyothiba Phule overseas vidya Nidhi scholarship aims to motivate postgraduate students belonging to the backward classes. The Backward Class Welfare Department, Government of Telangana, provides this TS ePASS scholarship, and the selected scholars will get an opportunity to pursue higher education in foreign universities. The Government will offer up to INR 20,00,000 to each chosen candidate. 

Eligibility Criteria 

The candidates should ensure they meet all the requirements before applying for the scholarship. The requirements for the TS ePASS overseas scholarship for BC/EBC students are as follows: 

• The candidates should belong to the BC or EBC
• The candidates should have obtained a minimum of 60% scores or equivalent marks in undergraduate engineering, management, pure sciences, agricultural sciences, medicine, nursing, social science and humanities.
• The candidates should not be over 35 years of age as of July 1st of the year.
• The candidates can avail themselves of the benefits of the scholarship only once in their lifetime.
• They should obtain a valid score in TOEFL/IELTS and GRE/GMAT.
• The candidates should have secured a minimum score in the following entrance exams:
  • TOFEL - 60
  • IELTS - 6.0
  • GRE - 260
  • GMAT - 500
  • PTE - 50
• The candidates should have obtained admission to an international university.
• They should have a valid passport.
• The annual income should not be over INR 5,00,000 per annum.

Rewards 

The Government will offer living expenses to the selected scholars. The other benefits are as follows: 

• For the first installment, the Government will pay an INR 10,00,000 to the institution after the students produce their visa, a landing permit, or an immigration card (I-94 card).
• For the second installment, the government will grant INR 10,00,000 to the foreign university after producing the 1st-semester results.
• The selected students will be eligible for an educational loan of INR 20,00,000 from any nationalised banks at the current rate of interest.
• The Government provides a one-way economy-class flight ticket for the shortest route. The students should produce a visa and proof of admission to avail this benefit.
• The Government will refund the total visa fees upon producing a visa and receipt.
• The scholars will obtain utilisation certificates with the approval of their concerned university. 

Chief Minister's Overseas Scholarship 

The Department of Minority Welfare provides the chief minister's overseas scholarship for students from the minority community aspiring to pursue higher education overseas. The aim is to support deserving students from socially backward communities. The selected scholars will receive an amount of INR 10,00,000 for their education.

Eligibility Criteria 

Telangana domiciles with a strong desire to pursue higher studies at international universities can apply to the chief minister's overseas scholarship. The eligibility criteria of TS ePASS overseas scholarship for minority students are: 

• The students should belong to minority communities.
• Their family income should not exceed INR 2,00,000 per annum.
• Candidates should hold an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in engineering, management, pure sciences, agriculture sciences, medical, nursing, social sciences, or humanities.
• They should have obtained at least 60% marks in their previous qualifying examination.
• The candidates should not be over 30 years of age as of July 1st of the current year.
• They should have obtained a valid score in GRE/GMAT, TOEFL/IELTS, or any equivalent exam.
• Students should be willing to study in the USA, Canada, UK, Singapore, or Australia.
• Only one child in a family can benefit from the scholarship.
• The candidates can enjoy the benefits of the scholarship only once in their lifetime.

Rewards 

The selected candidates will receive an educational loan and living expenses from the state government. The details of the TS ePASS post-matric scholarship rewards are as follows: 

• They will receive an amount of INR 10,00,000 towards tuition fee and living expenses in instalments.
• For the first instalment, the government will grant INR 5,00,000 to the scholars upon producing a landing permit or an immigration card (I-94 card).
• For the second instalment, the government will pay INR 5,00,000 upon producing the first semester's results.
• The chosen candidates are eligible to apply for an educational loan of INR 5,00,000 at any nationalised banks at the current interest rates.
• They can increase the prescribed allowances by earning from a research or teaching assistantship.
• The candidates will receive a utilisation certificate. However, they should obtain approval from the concerned university for record purposes. 

Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi Scholarship 

The Ambedkar overseas vidya Nidhi scholarship is available to SC/ST students. The candidates who pursue higher studies in professional courses such as medical, engineering, pharmaceutical nursing, pure sciences, etc., can apply for this scholarship. The Government offers financial aid of INR 5,00,000 to the selected candidates. The aim is to help students pursue higher education in premier international universities.

Eligibility Criteria 

Candidates willing to pursue postgraduate or higher studies can apply to the TS ePASS Ambedkar overseas vidya Nidhi scholarship. The eligibility criteria of TS ePASS overseas scholarship for the SC/ST students are as follows: 

• The candidates should belong to the SC/ST
• They should be willing to pursue postgraduate or higher studies in the following streams:
  • Management
  • Medicine
  • Engineering
  • Social science
  • Nursing
  • Agricultural science
  • Humanities
  • Pure Sciences
• They should have obtained a minimum of 60% in the previous qualifying examination.
• Applicants should not be over 35 years of age as of July 1st of the current year.
• The family income should not exceed INR 2,50,000 per annum.
• The candidates should have secured the following minimum scores in the entrance exam:
  • TOFEL - 60
  • IELTS - 6.0
  • GRE - 260
  • GMAT - 500
  • PTE - 50
• Students should be willing to study in the USA, Canada, UK, Singapore or Australia.

Rewards 

The Government will pay towards the candidate's living expenses and tuition fee. The following are the rewards for the TS ePASS Ambedkar overseas vidya Nidhi scholarship: 

• The Government grants upto INR 10,00,000 towards living expenses.
• The candidates can obtain an educational loan of INR 5,00,0000 in nationalised banks at the prevailing interest rate.
• They will also receive a passage grant and visa fees. 

How to Apply for TS ePASS Scholarship 2023-24? 

Interested candidates can apply online through the TS ePASS portal. However, they should ensure they meet all the requirements before applying for the scholarships. Candidates can apply for the TS ePASS scholarship by following these simple steps.

Step 1: They should visit the official TS ePASS portal.

Step 2: The applicants can click on the desired scholarship. 

Step 3: They should click on the TS ePASS scholarship fresh application form.

Step 4: Next, they should tick the boxes and click on the apply now button. 

Step 5: The candidates should enter the details such as SSC pass type, SSC hall ticket number, pass year, date of birth and the course group.

Step 6: After entering the details, they should fill in the application form and upload the mandatory documents.

Step 7: After filling in the form, the candidates should cross-verify the details provided on TS ePASS application form. 

Step 8: They should click on the submit button to complete the application process.

  • The candidates should open a zero balance account in any of the nationalised banks.
  • They should provide a valid mobile number to receive a One Time Password (OTP) during the registration process.
  • The candidates can obtain the TS ePASS scholarship application number from the official portal. 

How to Track the TS ePASS Application Status? 

After submitting the application form, the officials will release the TS ePASS application status within a few days. The candidates can track the same on the official website. The steps to track the application status is given below.

Step 1: The candidates should visit the official TS ePASS portal.

Step 2: They should select the scholarship and click on the know your application status button seen on the right side of the screen. 

Step 3: They should enter the necessary details such as application number, date of birth, SSC exam type, SSC exam number, year of passing and the academic year.

Step 4: After entering the details, the candidates should click on the get status button. 

Step 5: The applicants can now view the TS ePASS status. 

How to Renew TS ePASS Scholarship 2023-24? 

The candidates can renew the TS ePASS scholarships every year. The last date to renew the post-matric scholarship is expected to be December 31, 2024. The steps to renew the TS ePASS scholarships are as follows: 

Step 1: The applicants should click on the official TS ePASS portal.

Step 2: They should select the scholarship and click on the TS ePASS scholarship renewal registrations button. 

Step 3: They should tick the boxes and click on the apply now button.

Step 4: Next, the candidates should fill in the TS ePASS renewal form, upload the documents and click on submit.

Rejection of TS ePASS Application Forms 

The candidates should ensure they meet the eligibility criteria before applying for the TS ePASS Telangana scholarships. The officials reserve the right to reject invalid application forms. Listed below are the reasons to reject TS ePASS application forms: 

• Candidates who are not bonafide residents of Telangana
• Those submitting incorrect caste and income details
• Candidates who fail to submit caste and income certificates
• Candidates entering the incorrect course and year of passing
• Applicants who do not submit the hard copy of the application form
• If the applicant is not physically present
• Candidates securing admission through the management quota
• Students who have discontinued the studies
• TS ePASS scholarship renewal applicants who are detained
