The Maulana Azad Education Foundation, or the Maulana Azad scholarship, provides the Begum Hazrat Mahal national scholarship and Maulana Azad National Fellowship (MANF) schemes. The Maulana Azad national scholarship 2023 schemes are available to meritorious students belonging to minority communities. The University Grants Commission provides the Maulana Azad National Fellowship (MANF) for minority students pursuing an MPhil, PhD or both degrees. The last date for the Maulana Azad scholarship application still needs to be updated. Maulana Azad Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

The Maulana Abul Kalam Azad scholarship 2023 is meant for minority communities such as Muslims, Christians, Parsis, Sikhs, Buddhists, and Jains. The Maulana Azad scholarship eligibility criteria are as follows:

  • The applicant should be a girl child belonging to the minority community.
  • The candidate should be studying in classes 9-12.
  • She should have scored at least 50% marks (or equivalent grade) in the last qualifying examination.
  • The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed INR 2,00,000 from all sources.

Maulana Azad National Fellowship
  • The applicant should belong to the minority community.
  • The candidate should have cleared CBSE-NET/ CSIR-NET/ UGC-NET/ NTC examination to be eligible to apply for the scholarship. They will obtain the Maulana Azad scholarship result 2023 after passing the required exam.
  • They should be registered for a full-time MPhil/Ph.D. course from a recognized university.
  • Transgender students are also eligible to apply.
  • The candidate should have completed the postgraduate degree with a minimum of 55% marks.
  • The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed INR 6,00,000 from all sources.

Maulana Azad Scholarship Rewards and Benefits

The Maulana Azad online scholarship provides financial aid to the students through admission, course fees, and maintenance fees. The government will disburse the Maulana Azad scholarship amount directly to the student's bank account through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system. Begum Hazrat Mahal National Scholarship
  • Candidates studying in class 9/ 10 get a scholarship amount of INR 5,000 per annum.
  • Candidates in class 11/ 12 get a scholarship amount of INR 6,000 per annum.

Maulana Azad National Fellowship
  • A fellowship amount of INR 31,000 per month is given for the first two years (JRF) and INR 35,000 per month for the rest of the tenure (SRF).
  • Candidates pursuing Humanities, Social Sciences, and Commerce get a contingency amount of INR 10,000 per annum for the initial two years and INR 20,500 per annum for the remaining three years.
  • Candidates pursuing Science get a contingency amount of INR 12,000 per annum for the initial two years and INR 25,000 per annum for the remaining three years.
  • The physically and visually challenged applicants also get an escorts/ readers assistance of INR 2,000 per month.

Maulana Azad Scholarship Application Process

The students can obtain the Maulana Azad scholarship 2023 online form on the official websites. However, the websites and the application process are different for both schemes. Similarly, the candidates can submit the Maulana Azad scholarship 2023 renewal forms online before the deadline. Begum Hazrat Mahal National Scholarship

The application process for the scholarship is online through the Maulana Azad education foundation scholarship portal. In addition, the candidates can also vire the Maulana Azad scholarship sanctioned list 2023 online through the portal. The stepwise application process is explained below:

  1. First-time applicants should register themselves on the Maulana Azad Education Foundation scholarship portal.
  2. Click on the 'Student Registration' tab on the homepage.
  3. Enter personal details such as name, parents' name, domicile, mobile number, address, etc., in the registration form.
  4. Next, submit the Maulana Azad scholarship registration form to check for correctness.
  5. After submitting the Maulana Azad scholarship registration form, the students will receive a link to download the school verification form.
  6. Download the school verification form and get it verified by the school principal. This form is needed to be uploaded with the scholarship Maulana Azad education foundation scholarship online application form.
  7. Then log in to the official website by entering the registered mobile number and date of birth.

Maulana Azad National Fellowship

The Maulana Azad scholarship 2023 application for the fellowship is through the University Grants Commission (UGC) official website. The stepwise application process is explained below:

  • The applicant should visit the UGC official website.
  • The student on the scholarships/ Fellowships page should click on the 'View All' tab to see a list of all scholarships and fellowships offered by UGC.
  • Under the Fellowships category, click on the 'Apply Now button of the Maulana Azad National Fellowship for Minority Students.
  • Read all the instructions carefully and 'Proceed for Registration'.
  • Fill in all the details to complete the Maulana Azad scholarship registration process. A registration ID is generated, which is used to download the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad scholarship application form.
  • The Maulana Azad scholarship form 2023 has to be filled with all personal, academic, and institute details, research work details, and the supervisor and current employment details.
  • The candidates should now review the filled in application and read the declaration section carefully before applying.

For Maulana Azad National Fellowship

The UGC follows certain procedures while selecting the recipients of the Maulana Azad national fellowship. The selection process for this Maulana Azad Scholarship scheme is explained below:

  • The UGC verifies the Maulana Azad scholarship online forms to comply with the eligibility conditions as per the guidelines.
  • An expert committee is set up, which goes through the submitted applications and selects a final list of applicants, then posted on the UGC website. The decision of the selection committee is final.
  • The selected candidates are required to join the fellowship on April 1st of the year. However, the timeline mentioned is tentative, and it may change at the provider's discretion.
