Vidyadhan Scholarship

The Sarojini Damodaran Foundation initiates the Vidyadhan scholarship for 10th-passed students. The foundation financially supports deserving students from economically backward families to pursue their college education. Therefore, the candidates who have cleared the class 10 board exam can apply for the scholarship. The Sarojini Damodaran Foundation will select the candidates based on a rigorous test and interview results. Over 2,800 students have availed benefits of the scholarship. The foundation will offer financial aid to classes XI and XII students for two years. The final date to submit the applicstions for Vidyadhan Scholarship Delhi is September 30, 2023.

Vidyadhan Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

The foundation awards the scholarship to deserving students belonging to economically weaker sections. They should have completed class X from a government recognised school. Listed below are the other Vidyadhan scholarship eligibility criteria:

• The applicants should have scored at least 90% marks or equivalent in the class 10/ SSC examination. 
• However, disabled students should have secured at least 75% marks in the class 10 board exam.
• They should have completed their class 10 education from one of the following states:
  • Andhra Pradesh

• The candidate's annual family income should not exceed INR 2,00,000 from all sources.

Vidyadhan Scholarship Amount and Benefits

The objective of the program is to encourage students to pursue higher education without financial constraints. The selected students will receive up to INR 60,000 per annum. Given below are the reward details of the SDF Vidyadhan scholarship for 10th passed students:

• The selected students belonging to Kerala will receive a Vidyadhan scholarship amount of INR 5,000 per annum.
• Those from the other eligible states will receive INR 6,000.
• All scholars should attend the mentoring program organised by the Sarojini Damodaran Foundation.
• The foundation will provide outstanding secondary-level students with another scholarship to pursue a degree program in any discipline.
• Students pursuing graduate-level programs will receive a Vidyadhan scholarship amount of INR 10,000 - INR 60,000 per annum based on the course, course duration, state, etc.

How to Apply for Vidyadhan Scholarship?

The application process for the scholarship program is online. The candidates can obtain the application form on the official website. They should duly fill in the form and submit the required documents to complete the application process. Read below to learn how to apply for Vidyadhan scholarship in detail:

• Interested applicants should visit the Vidyadhan scholarship official website.
• They should click on the 'Apply for Scholarship' tab displayed on the homepage.
• Next, the candidates applying for the first time should register on the Vidyadhan scholarship portal.
• After registration, they will receive an activation link on their registered email id.
• The candidates should click on the activation link to complete the registration process.
• Next, the students should log in to the Vidyadhan scholarship login credentials.
• They can now access the application form.
• The candidates provide information such as name, date of birth, email id, etc. They should also upload the necessary documents on the application form.
• Now, the applicants are prompted to create a new password for future reference and tracking.
• Next, they should click on the 'Submit' button to complete the application process.
• After submitting the application form, the candidates should take a copy of the confirmation page for future reference.
• Any future communication by the sponsor will be done through the mail provided by the candidate during the registration process.

Documents Required for Vidyadhan Scholarship 

The candidates should attach the necessary documents to complete the application process. They should ensure the documents are scanned and uploaded in the prescribed format. Listed below are the documents required for the Vidyadhan scholarship:

• SSLC/ SSC/ class 10 or equivalent marks card 
• Note: If the original marks cards are not available, the students can upload the provisional marks card from the respective state/ CBSE/ ICSE board website.
• Passport size photograph
• Income certificate
• Disability certificate (if applicable)

Vidyadhan Scholarship Selection Process

The candidates are selected based on their academic merit and financial needs. The details of the SDF Vidyadhan scholarship selection process are as follows:

1. The initial selection of candidates is based on their academic performance.
2. The selected students should appear for a test and an interview.
3. The organisers will communicate the exam/interview's date, time, and location to the shortlisted candidates.
4. In certain cases, the Vidyadhan scholarship foundation will reimburse the travel expenses of the students.
