National Testing Agency will set the IIFT eligibility criteria 2022 for the candidates who are willing to appear for the entrance exam. Candidates will have to satisfy the educational qualifications as specified in the IIFT 2022 eligibility criteria to appear for the exam. IIFT Eligibility Criteria 2022
All aspirants of IIFT exam must make sure that they meet the below mentioned criteria before applying for the exam.
IIFT 2022 Minimum Educational Eligibility
A candidate must have a Bachelors's degree (of minimum duration of 3 years) in any discipline with aggregate marks of 50% for General/OBC-NCL category and 45% for reserved categories (SC/ST/PwD), from a recognized Institution or University for getting into IIFT. Also, second year students are not eligible for IIFT 2022. Only Final year students can apply subject to the submission of requisite qualification by October 7, 2022. Candidates who fail to qualify the IIFT 2022 eligibility criteria will not be granted admission.
IIFT Exam Age Limit
IIFT has not specified any upper age limit for any category of candidates to take the exam. Hence, rest assured, there is no age limit for IIFT exam.
Indian citizens, as well as citizens of foreign nations, can apply for IIFT 2022. IIFT eligibility criteria for foreign nationals is different from Indian candidates, which will be discussed below.
Relaxation in marks
IIFT offers relaxation in marks based on the category. If a candidate belongs to reserved categories such as Physically Handicapped (PH), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Other Backward Classes (BC), there is a relaxation of 5% marks in aggregate. Only, candidates with Indian citizenship are eligible to claim relaxation under a reserved category.
For candidates who are in Final year or Awaiting Result
Candidates who are appearing for the final year bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree but awaiting results can also apply. Having said that, they must able to provide a declaration signed and attested by the principal/director of the college. The proof of the required qualification should be sent to the institute before the given date by the authorities.
IIFT Eligibility Criteria 2022 for Foreign Nationals/ NRI
IIFT has seats that are reserved for Foreign Nationals/NRIs/Children of NRI candidates to its MBA program. A candidate who is a resident outside India for a period of not less than 18 months as on 31st December 2019 and remains outside India during the IIFT examination window is also eligible to take the entrance exam.
Foreign nationals' candidature for IIFT MBA - IB admission will be considered based only on their GMAT score. So, to seek admission at IIFT, a foreign national needs to have a valid GMAT score and they do not have to write the entrance exam.
Candidates should submit the proof of required qualification to the Institute by October 2021. Each foreign candidate should submit the GMAT Scores to the institute before October 31, 2021. GMAT test taken before January 1, 2020, will not be valid.
Documents required for IIFT 2022 Foreign Nationals/NRI
Foriegn national candidates are requested to keep the following documents while applying for the IIFT 2022 exam.
- A candidate is currently based on Indian nationals who are living, working, studying abroad should produce with application certificate from the Indian Embassy/High Commission/ Consulate of the country.
- The certificate should state that the candidate has been a resident in that country continuously for a period of not less than 18 months as of 31st December 2020.
- An authentic passport of a country other than India is also considered as a valid document.

- They must have a recognized bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years' duration.
- Aspirants having at least 50% aggregate marks in the first attempt at the graduation level can apply for the exam. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD categories can apply with 45% marks.
- Candidates appearing in the final year of the graduation course can also apply after submitting the proof of requisite qualification within specified dates of start of the course.
- Candidates appearing in the final year of graduation can also apply for the exam, provided they submit the requisite proof of qualification within the specified dates.

Reservation Policy in IIFT 2022

IIFT 2022 Scholarship Scheme
Candidates who clear the IIFT exam 2022 can avail loan facility very easily from leading PSUs bank such as SBI who have an official tie-up with the institute to provide loans to students at subsidized rate. Additionally, the Institute also provides scholarships options; here is a brief about the financial aid available to students at IIFT.
Need Based Scholarship Scheme
IIFT operates a "Need Based Scholarship Scheme" under which it pays interest subsidy for a certain period of time on Educational Loan from a bank taken by the student whose family annual income is less than INR 4.50 lakh. Depending upon the tution fee, additional charges, and other essential expenses, the amount of educational loan is revised every year.
Central Sector Scholarship Scheme
The Ministry of Social Service and Empowerment and the Ministry of Tribal Affairs have introduced a liberal scholarship scheme called “Central Sector Scholarship Scheme" for SC and ST students. Under this scheme, 4 students each from SC and ST communities are selected on the basis of merit and their applications are forwarded to the Ministries to be awarded scholarship. The scholarship includes:
- Tution fee and non refundable charges
- Living expenses are INR 2200 per month, subject to actuals
- Books and stationary expenses are INR 3000 per month, subject to actuals
- A latest computer with accessories with an upper cap limit of INR 45000 (One time).
