MAT Eligibility Criteria 2019

  • All India Management Association (AIMA), the conducting Authority of Management Aptitude Test (MAT), releases the MAT eligibility criteria 2019

  • Before filling the application form of the exam, it is essential for the candidates to know the MAT eligibility criteria 2019.

  • MAT exam is conducted four times a year - February, May, September and December.

  • As per the MAT Eligibility Criteria 2019 for the May exam, candidates must have completed their graduation in any stream from a recognized institute. There is no age limit to appear for MAT. 


MAT Eligibility Criteria 2019 Highlights

Candidates must check the MAT Eligibility Criteria 2019 before they apply for MAT 2019. Applicants who can qualify the eligibility standards can only apply for the MAT 2019 May Exam.

  • MAT 2019 Application Form Last Date: The last date for MAT 2019 Registration for the paper-based and computer-based test was 1st May 2019.

  • Academic Qualification: Candidates who have completed their graduation in any of stream from a recognised institute or university are eligible to apply. Final year graduates from any discipline including, science, humanities, commerce or engineering stream from a recognised institute or university are eligible to apply.

  • Age limit: There is no age limit under MAT Eligibility Criteria 2019

  • The number of attempts: There are no restrictions on the number of attempts for taking up the MAT.

  • Note: If the candidates do not satisfy the eligibility criteria then their MAT 2019 Admit card will not be issued.

Other points to be kept in mind IN the section MAT Eligibility Criteria 2019

  • No job experience is required to apply for the exam.

  • A certain number of seats are reserved for Schedule Castes, Schedule Tribes, Other Backward Classes. 

  • A candidate can apply for the exam as many times as he/she wants to 

  • The final year graduate students who clear MAT 2019 need to submit proof of the completion of their graduation. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of their admission to a respective institute.


MAT Eligibility Criteria 2019 Based on Education Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree: Candidates should have a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized Board or University to be eligible for MAT 2019 May exam.

  • Percentage: To get eligible for MAT 2019 Exam Applicants should have obtained a minimum of 50% in their graduation course.

  • Special Categories: Percentage limit for Scheduled Castes (SC)/Scheduled Tribes (SC), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Persons With Disability (PwD) candidates to be eligible for MAT 2019 May Exam is 45%. 

  • Final Year Students: Final year candidate can also apply for MAT 2019 May Exam but they should meet the eligibility criteria. Before applying for the B-School candidate make sure that they clear their final year exams.

  • Work Experience: For MAT 2019 May Exam candidate need not have work experience but the candidate has any work experience then it will give additional weightage to the candidate's profile.

  • Indian Citizen: Candidates who are the citizens of India are eligible to apply for MAT 2019 May Exam.

  • Age Limit: There is no age limit for candidates to be eligible to apply for the MAT 2019 May exam.

The eligibility criteria for appearing in MAT are as follows:

  • The minimum eligibility criteria are that the applicants must have completed their graduation course in any discipline from a recognized Board or University.
  • Applicants appearing in the final year exams of their graduation course are also eligible to apply for MAT.

Yes. A candidate should have done graduation in any discipline from any recognized university or should have an equivalent recognized degree to sit for MAT exams. Basically, a student should be a graduate from any recognized university to apply for MAT.
