What is TS ICET Exam?
TS ICET stands for the Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test, that is conducted every year by Kakatiya University, Warangal on behalf of Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE), Hyderabad. Candidates who aspire to pursue MBA & MCA professional courses in Telangana state can take up this examination. A total number of 23,358 seats are available in 100+ b-schools in and around Telangana through TS ICET 2020.
Level and conducting authority: TS ICET 2020 is a state-level entrance examination. TS ICET is conducted by Kakatiya University on behalf of the Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE).
Courses offered: Telangana Integrated Common Entrance Test or TSICET 2020 offers admission in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) courses.
Mode: TS ICET 2020 is conducted through the online mode i.e. Computer-based Test (CBT). Candidates must hold a Bachelors's degree to apply for the examination.
Questions & Duration: 200 objective type questions will be asked in TSICET 2020 in 2 hours 30 minutes. Where every question carries one mark each and absolutely no negative marking included for an incorrect answer. The exam will be conducted in two sessions.
The question paper is divided into three different sections, of which the first 2 sections can be conducted in English or Telugu according to the candidate's choice whereas, the last section especially is conducted only in English.
Admissions: TSICET 2020 Admission will be based on counselling where the students will be allotted seats as per the rank secured in the TSICET 2020.
Note: TSICET2020 is also conducted in the Urdu medium, which has only been assigned for one section.

TSICET 2020 Exam Date
The official notification for the TSICET 2020 Exam Date will be released by the Kakatiya University in February.
Application Form: TSICET 2020 Application Form will be available on the official website from March 9, 2020 and the last date to submit the Application Form with late fee of INR 1000 has been extended till August 5, 2020.
Admit Card: Candidates who have completed the registration process will receive the Admit Card for TSICET 2020 on the announcement date. The dates have been postponed for the release of the Admit card.
Exam Date: TSICET 2020 will be conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT Online). The exam dates have been postponed due to COVID-19 and will be announced soon.
Result Date: Result will be declared in the form of Scorecard on the official website, the candidate can also download the scorecard.
TSICET Counselling Date: The counselling dates are yet to be announced.

TSICET 2020 Notification
The TSCHE, which is the organizing body of the TSICET 2020 Exam releases the official notification in its website. The TSICET 2020 Notification states the application date which starts from March 9, 2020 and terminates on June 10, 2020. Other updates and information related to the associated events of the Exam will be stated in the Notification. Candidates can visit this page regularly for updates.
TSICET 2020 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates are required to fulfil the TSICET 2020 Eligibility Criteria in order to apply for the exam. It is mandatory that the candidates check if they clear the eligibility criteria prior to applying. The Kakatiya University of Warangal has notified the following criteria for taking the TSICET 2020 Exam.
Candidates applying for MBA should have a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 3 years of duration from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% of marks (45% for SC/ST candidates). The candidates applying for MCA should have a bachelor's degree i.e., BCA and should have arithmetic or mathematics in 10+2 standard. The candidates who are in the final year of their qualifying exam can also apply for the exam provided that their results will be declared on or before the TSICET Counselling Process.
For those candidates who have completed their bachelor's degree by distance mode, they shall be recognized by the Joint Committee of AICTE, UGC or DEC.
Domicile and Age
The candidates should satisfy the local/ non-local status requirements and should be of Indian origin. Candidates other than Indian Nationals should satisfy rules prescribed by the concerned University. TSICET 2020 Eligibility has no restriction on age to take the exam.
No. of Attempts
There is no set limit for the number of attempts that a candidate can have for the TSICET Exam.
It is to be noted that the candidates who are eligible for the scholarship must be of age less than 30 for OC candidates or less than 34 for other candidates.
Note: Mere presence of the candidate for TSICET or obtaining the qualifying marks doesn't entitle the candidate for admission. He must qualify the individual requirements of the institute.
TSICET 2020 Syllabus
Candidates are required to understand the TSICET 2020 Syllabus in order to get an overview of the type of questions that will be asked and also the distribution of questions in the examination. Candidates will be able to prepare for the exam accordingly, with the help of the syllabus. TSICET 2020 Syllabus for MBA consists of 3 major sections which are subdivided into 6 subsections to evaluate the knowledge and skills of the test takers.
Syllabus: TSICET 2020 Syllabus is based on the curriculum of class 10+2. It evaluates a candidate’s quantitative, verbal/reading and reasoning skills.

How To Prepare for TSICET 2020?
The preparation for TSICET is not a long and hard journey but one that is filled with patience. Remember that you don't have negative markings so you van attempt all the questions but make sure you are guessing approximately for the questions you don't know. Even 1 mark would decide your rank. Follow the steps given below and you might just get more marks than you expected.
Know Your Exam
The best way to face any opponent is to first know what they are. In this case, the opponent is your exam and you need to know the pattern and the structure of the exam. So, start by gathering the old TSICET question papers, Mock Test Papers and then try to understand the basic structure of it like the total number of questions, type of questions, marking scheme and the difficulty level of the questions in each section. This will make you realize the proper way to approach the exam, that will be best suited for you.
While practising the mock papers check on how much time are you taking to solve the paper and then try to set a target so that you solve in less time when you solve for the next time.
Create a Personal Schedule
You are the only person that knows your strengths and weaknesses, so you need to prepare a good and disciplined schedule that incorporates your way of preparation. After having ascertained what sections need works, prepare a plan that divides topics to be covered and time to allot to each topic. But just creating a schedule for the sake of creating the schedule is of no use if you don't stick to it until you achieve your goal. So you need to make sure that you are strictly adhering to your schedule.
Practice like the Exam is tomorrow
Sometimes you might get bored to keep practising the sample questions. You might even stop taking them seriously. But the easiest way to avoid these things is to convince yourself that the next day is the exam and you are still a long way from learning all of those questions. This sense of urgency will automatically convert your mindset to care put in more concentration into the practice.
The three sections in the TSICET are Analytical Ability, Mathematical Ability, and Communication Skills.
Analytical Ability: The questions in this section are usually based on patterns, so only the practice can help the candidates to do well in this section. Learn the shortcuts of solving the questions.
Mathematical Ability: The basic mathematical skills that are of the 10th class standard are needed to attempt this section. The basic algorithm of attempting Mathematical Ability questions is a comprehension of a question, interpretation of what is given and what is required and solving the problems.
Communication Skills: This section needs the candidate to go through a range of reading materials. Also, learn the words and rules of grammar.
TSICET 2020 Exam Pattern
The TSICET 2020 Exam Pattern is stated and laid down by the organizing body of the TSICET, which are the TSCHE and the Kakatiya University combined. It is very important for the candidates to know and have an idea of the exam pattern in order to understand the overview of the TSICET 2020 Exam, which will in turn help them to understand the type of questions that are being asked and its distribution throughout the question paper.

TSICET 2020 Online Application Form
The registration process for TSICET is completely online and requires the candidate to register in the official website. It is essential that the candidates read the instructions clearly prior to filling up the Application Form. Candidates will be required to submit certain documents along with the application forms. It is necessary that the candidates read the instructions and information thoroughly prior to filling up the TSICET 2020 Application Form.
Application Date: TSICET 2020 Application Form was available on the official website from March 9, 2020 till June 10, 2020 (without late fee). The last date to apply with late fee of INR 5000 is September 20, 2020.
Enter the Required Details: Enter the necessary details into the sections such as the candidate's name, qualifying exam hall ticket number, date of birth, mobile number, email id, category, payment type, etc.
The candidates have to pay INR 650/- as TSICET 2020 Application fee (INR 450/- for SC/ST Candidates) by visiting the official site. Post June 10, 2020, the candidates will have to pay the fine for late fees. Candidates can take a look at the dates and the fee structure for the application fee given below in the table.

It is mandatory for the candidates to submit the documents required during the application process. Failing to do so will result in the application to be invalid.
The candidates have to upload their coloured passport sized Photographs and Signature in JPEG format while filling the application form. The file size should not exceed 30kb and 15kb respectively.
Finally, the candidates have to accept the declaration and submit the form. It is advised that the candidate take a print out of the form for use at subsequent stages of the selection process.
TSICET 2020 Admit Card
The TSICET 2020 Admit Card will be released in the official website of the TSI. Candidates can download the admit card from the official website. It is mandatory for the candidates to bring the Admit Card on the day of the examination.
Credentials: The candidates who need the TSICET 2020 Admit Card have to enter their registered E-mail/ Application Number to download their Admit card/ Hall Ticket.
Specifics: TSICET Admit Card contains the Candidate's Name, Exam Date, Photograph, Signature, Exam Centre, Phone Number.
Admission: TSICET Admit Card is also a necessary document for the Counselling Process and subsequent admission procedures.
Additional Documents: Along with the admit card, the candidates should also take at least one of the photo identity proof like the Aadhar Card, Pan Card, Voter's Card, or Driving License without fail.
Note: No candidate will be allowed into the examination hall without the Admit Card. It is mandatory that everyone carry the Admit Card to the examination without fail.

TSICET 2020 Results
TSICET 2020 Result will be declared online and candidates can access the same from the official website. Candidates are required to know that the TSICET 2020 Results are published based on their performance. Candidates should make sure to prepare and do well in the examination for better results.
Date: TSICET 2020 Results will be available on the official website which will be released by the conducting authority.
Qualifying Marks: The General/ OBC candidate has to secure a minimum of 25% marks i.e., 50 marks out of total 200 and for SC/ ST category candidates there is no such qualification.
Tie-breaking: If more than one candidate scores the same in the TSICET 2020, the tie-breaking will be done by considering the marks scored by the candidate in Section A, Section B and the age of the candidate.
Cut-off: TSICET Cut off is the minimum score required to secure admission in MBA and MCA courses offered by various colleges and institutions in the state of Telangana.
Merit List: Based on the Results, the conducting body will announce the Merit List and ranks are given accordingly.
Validity: The validity of the TS-ICET exam results is for 1 year.
TSICET 2020 Counselling
Based on the TSICET Merit List, qualified candidates will proceed to the TSICET Counselling. Candidates should be aware that the counselling process is entirely dependent on the cut-off. Candidates are required to score better to increase their chances of getting admissions in good institutions.
Eligibility: The candidates who have successfully cleared the TSICET can participate in the Counselling Process.
Process: The candidates have to first register for the TSICET 2020 Counselling Process which includes document verification where the candidate must be present in the help centres which are specified by the authorities of TSICET, then carry out the TSICET 2020 document verification process. After the certificate verification, the conducting body will release an online portal for the candidates where they have to enter their preference of colleges in the online portal and lock it.
Seat Allotment: Admission to 85% of seats shall be reserved for the local candidates. 15% of the seats shall be left unreserved, as specified in the AP Educational Institutions order 1974 as amended. During the seat allotment process, those choices that have been locked before the deadline will be considered for seat allocation.
Payment of Fee: The next step is the payment of the fee. Candidates are required to download the bank challan from the online website. The fee can be paid in any of the Andhra Bank or Indian Bank in the state of Telangana.
If the candidates are unable to attend the 1st phase of counselling, then they can enrol themselves for the 2nd phase of counselling. The announcement for such would be made beforehand on the official website and the candidates must make sure they attend it elsewhere they would lose the opportunity of getting admission.
The seats are allowed to the unqualified minors or the candidates who have not appeared for the TSICET only after all the qualified minor candidates are allotted seats in the respective minor colleges. However, the unqualified minor candidates are not eligible for the scholarship scheme.
Instructions for TSICET 2020
Some of the important instructions regarding the TSICET are given below:
Reach on or before the time mentioned on the Admit Card. Electronic gadgets are not allowed inside the examination hall. Students can take the plain clipboard along with them to the examination hall but, they must ensure nothing should be written on the board.
Only two Black or Blue ballpoint pens are allowed and xerox copy of photo ID proof. Students should carry the same passport size photograph as the one uploaded while filling the TSICET online form. A print copy of the TSICET Admit Card is mandatory.
