CMAT 2020 Eligibility Criteria

  • Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2020  is a national level entrance examination for entry into management programmes. Till 2018, it was conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) every year as per the directions of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. From 2020 the Test will now be conducted by the NTA.

  • There are minimum parameters that an aspirant must satisfy the Eligibility Criteria of CMAT 2020 in order to seek admission into MBA and PGDM Programmes.

CMAT 2020 Eligibility Highlights

Eligibility Criteria: For the candidates to write CMAT 2020, they should satisfy all the eligibility criteria irrespective of what category the candidate belongs to and what postgraduate management program they opt for at the participating college or institute.

  • Eligibility Criteria Of CMAT 2020 is Specified by National Testing Agency (NTA).

  • To avoid the rejection of application form, the students are advised to have enough knowledge of Eligibility.

  •  He/She must be a citizen of India.

  • Final year students of Bachelor's programmes are also eligible to apply Candidates must obtain a bachelor's degree of a minimum three-year duration from any discipline With 50% Aggregate Marks.

  • There is no age bar for applying for CMAT entrance exam 2020

National Testing Agency (NTA) specifies the CMAT Eligibility Criteria for all candidates to appear every year.

Eligibility Norms

The candidates who do not fulfill the eligibility norms will not be allowed to attend and the application will be canceled no matter at what stage of admission the candidate is. Therefore, the candidates need to check the Eligibility Criteria before they fill the application form.

Nationality

The candidate must be a citizen of India for writing CMAT 2020.

Minimum Marks

The candidate should have a minimum of 50% marks in a Bachelor's Degree in any stream to be eligible.

Age Limitation

Minimum 21 years there is no Upper age limit for applying for CMAT entrance exam.

Qualification Criteria

The candidate must be a graduate (10+2+3) from any of the recognized University in any discipline. Candidates who are in the final year of their study and whose result will be declared before the commencement of the admission process are also eligible to apply for the examination.


CMAT 2020 General Eligibility

  • Marks Criteria: For reserved quota candidates, the acceptable marks stand at 45%. The candidate must have a recognized Bachelor’s Degree of three years with a minimum of 50% marks. 

  • Executive MBA Criteria: For the executive MBA program, candidates need to fulfil all the eligibility criteria and should also have relevant work experience of 5 years as a supervisor or manager.

Note:

  • Selection and seat allotment: Finally, the selection and allotment of CMAT 2020 seats will be done on the basis of eligibility, merit, and rank in the CMAT 2020 examination and the performance in the selection process.

Every course has different eligibility criteria which must be satisfied by the candidate to get admission. Candidates will be eligible for MBA and PGDM programmes only after meeting the minimum requirements of each mentioned programme.   • Minimum qualification: A Bachelor's degree with a minimum duration of 3 years is compulsory for a candidate to appear for the exam. 

PGDM and MBA

  • Minimum marks: For a candidate to appear for CMAT 2020, a minimum of 50% marks for general category and 45% marks for reserved categories is required.

  • Minimum qualification: A Bachelor's degree with a minimum duration of 3 years is required for a candidate to be eligible.

Executive PGDM

  • Minimum marks: Candidate must have a minimum of 50% marks (for general category) and 45% marks (for reserved categories).

  • Minimum qualification: A Candidate should have a Bachelor's degree with a minimum duration of 3 years.

  • Minimum Experience: Candidate Must have at least 5 years of relevant experience in managerial and supervisory capacities.  


CMAT 2020 Documents Required:

  • Documents required: Candidates who are eligible and seeking reservation for allotment of seats under Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Physically Handicapped (PH), Kashmiri Migrant (KM), Girl child category and Defence Persons category through CMAT 2020, must submit the required certificates and documents.

  • Mandatory: Without the submission of documents and its verification, candidates will not be given any benefits of the reservation of seats.

  • Required certificates and documents:

    • Caste certificate

    • Income Certificate

    • Dependent Certificate

    • Proformas etc., whichever applicable, according to the guidelines of the particular college/ institute.

Note:

  • The category must be filled carefully: The candidate must read and understand the conditions of reservation of seats carefully before applying for CMAT 2020. Once the Category is filled in CMAT 2020 Application form by the candidate along with documentary proof, it cannot be changed.
