 AP EAMCET Exam Pattern 2020 

The AP EAMCET 2020 has been maintaining a standardized format for years. It consists of 3 sections for both of the exams containing their respective subjects. From the year 2018, EAMCET has been conducted in Computer-based test/Online mode.

  • Papers: AP EAMCET 2020 consists of two exam papers namely Engineering (Paper 1) and Agriculture (Paper 2).
  • Mode: 2020 AP EAMCET Paper will be conducted in the mode of online(Computer-based test)
  • Question Type: The question paper will consist of Multiple Choice based questions (MCQs) from the prescribed syllabus.
  • The Sequence of Questions: The questions will be displayed one at a time in the language chosen by the candidate.
  • Languages: AP EAMCET 2020 question paper will be available in English and Telugu. Candidates who would like to take the exam in the Urdu language can take it in Hyderabad only.
  • Duration of the Exam: Duration of all the exams will be 3 hours each.
  • Negative Marking: Marks are not deducted for wrong answers in AP EAMCET 2020.
  • Difficulty Level: AP EAMCET Exam Question paper Pattern was similar between AP EAMCET 2017 and 2018 question paper. Experts say that 2018 Question Paper was a bit easy when compared to 2016 and 2017 papers. However, the overall paper was rated as moderate in terms of difficulty level and more weight was given to 12th standard syllabus.

AP EAMCET 2020 Exam Pattern(Engineering)

 AP EAMCET 2020 exam(Engineering) will consist of 160 questions in total. The distribution of questions is given below:

  • There are 40 questions in the Physics section, 40 questions in the Chemistry section, and 80 questions in the Mathematics section. The Mathematics section is divided into Mathematics-A and Mathematics-B subsections with 40 questions each.
  • Each question contains four options from which you need to select the most appropriate answer. Each question carries 1 mark, so a total of 160 marks for the Engineering section. There are no negative markings.
  • The candidates need to score more than the minimum qualifying marks to be eligible for AP EAMCET 2020 counselling.

AP EAMCET 2020 Exam pattern (Agriculture)

 AP EAMCET 2020 exam will consist of 160 questions in total. The distribution of questions is given below:

  • There are 40 Questions in the Botany section, 40 Question in the zoology section, 40 questions in the Physics section and 40 questions in the Chemistry section.
  • Each question carries 1 mark, so a total of 160 marks for the Engineering section. Each question contains four options from which you need to select the most appropriate answer. There are no negative markings.
  • The candidates need to score more than the minimum qualifying marks to be eligible for AP EAMCET 2020 counselling.

Number of Questions For AP EAMCET

Minimum Qualifying marks in AP EAMCET 

  • The candidate should get a minimum percentage of 25% of the maximum marks in AP EAMCET 2020 to be considered for the ranking.
  • There is no prescribed minimum qualifying mark set for the candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe. Their admissions will be limited to the total extent of seats reserved for their respective categories. 

Online Test Instructions for AP EAMCET

After you enter into your prescribed online exam portal, the instructions that you need to follow are displayed on the screen. At the end there would be a button 'I am ready to Begin'. Which you need to click after you have gone through the instructions. The candidates can also use the 'Zoom In' and 'Zoom Out' options to increase or decrease the font to our requirement.

The countdown timer will start ticking as soon as you press the button. This timer will be displayed throughout the exam at the top right corner of the screen. At the end of the timer, the responses will be automatically submitted even if the candidate failed to submit it before the 3-hour mark. 

  • Questions will be displayed one at a time in the chosen language. There are different sections for questions and you need to select the section with which you wish to start the exam.
  • A Question Palette would be present at the right end of the display screen. This enables us to navigate through the different sections and the questions. You could jump between any of the questions using the Question Palette and answer them at your ease. 
  • To select a response you need to click on the option you think is right and then click 'Save & Next'. You could also mark the question to review later by clicking 'Mark for Review & Next'. To remove the answer you have selected you can click on 'Clear Response'.
  • The Summary of the exam will be displayed at the end, before the final submission of the test. This summary consists of the Subject Name, Number of Questions that have been answered, not answered, marked for review and not attempted. You need to confirm the submission by clicking the 'Yes' option.

You have to apply for the exam before the given last date of the application form. Now you cannot apply for the AP EAMCET examination. you will be able to apply for the next time.
