JEE Advanced Participating Institutes 2024 in India

JEE Advanced Counselling 

JoSAA conducts the counselling process for admission to IITs through JEE Advanced. Candidates must fill an online form indicating their preferred courses and institutes. JoSAA conducts multiple rounds of seat allotment, and candidates can adjust their preferences through floating, sliding, or freezing options.

Once a seat is accepted, candidates must verify their documents at designated centres. The JEE Advanced Counselling 2024 process offers flexibility in terms of withdrawal, upgradation, and special rounds.

JEE Advanced Participating Colleges 2024 in India Admission Process

The JEE Advanced exam is the gateway to the premier engineering institutions of India, including IITs and NITs. Candidates who have cleared the JEE Advanced 2024 exam will be eligible to participate in the Joint Seat Allocation process for admission to IITs. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) administers the counselling and seat allotment processes for the eligible candidates subsequent to the declaration of JEE Advanced results. 

Candidates are expected to register and fill in their choices on the JoSAA website, and admission will be based on their JEE scores and college preferences. Once a candidate is allotted a seat, they must visit the college to complete the document verification process and other admission formalities, which include submitting high school certificates, JEE Main and Advanced scorecards, and payment of admission fees.

Admission of Foreign Candidates to JEE Advanced Participating Colleges

Foreign students must pass the JEE Advanced exam to study at IITs. Those who are not Indian citizens by birth and studied abroad in Class 12 are considered Foreign Nationals. Seats for them are limited to 10% of the total with no need to pass JEE Main.

Opening and Closing Ranks of IITs

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) publishes the opening and closing ranks for Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) each year. These ranks indicate the lowest and highest ranks eligible for admission to IITs, and are based on admission granted to candidates who have qualified in the JEE Advanced exam. The ranks differ for various courses and engineering branches offered within an IIT.

Seat Availability in Each IIT 

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is expected to release the seat matrix for the 23 IITs in India for JEE Advanced 2024. The seat matrix provides an expected list of available seats at each IIT.

JEE Advanced Reservation

The JEE Advanced exam has specific reservation criteria for different categories of Indian nationals. Those belonging to SC/ST/OBC-NCL categories are admitted under the seats reserved for them as per the guidelines of the Government of India.
