IIT Goa or Indian Institute of Technology Goa was founded in 2016 by the Ministry of Human Resource and Department, Government of India. The institute is AICTE-approved and has received A++ accreditation by NAAC. Through its seven academic schools, IIT Goa offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses.

IIT Goa admission for its flagship course B.Tech is based on JEE Advanced scores. Candidates who qualify for the JEE Advanced exam must register for the JoSAA counselling process. IIT Goa B.Tech fees is INR 9.36 Lakhs for the entire duration. At the PG level, IIT Goa offers an M.Tech program in multiple specialisations. M.Tech admission is based on GATE scores, followed by COAP counselling.

During IIT Goa placements 2024, the institute recorded a placement rate of 90.6%. Moreover, the average and median packages offered to students stood at INR 15.41 LPA and INR 11.50 LPA, respectively.

IIT Goa Admission

IIT Goa admission 2025 is ongoing. Admission to B.Tech at IIT Goa is granted through JEE Advanced scores and JoSAA counselling. GATE scores are accepted for M.Tech admission. IIT Goa admission criteria for various courses offered are given below:

• B.Tech: Candidates must have completed 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects and 75% marks. Selection is based on the JEE Advanced exam and JoSAA counselling.
• M.Tech: Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in a relevant stream. For selection, candidates must perform well in the GATE exam and participate in COAP counselling.
• PhD: Aspirants must have a master's degree in a relevant field with 60% marks. Additionally, GATE/ UGC-NET/ CSIR-NET/Written Test is accepted for admission, followed by an interview.
