IIT Ropar: Ranking, Courses, Fees, Admission, Placements

IIT Ropar was set up in 2008 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. It is one of the 23 IITs in India under the Institutes of Technology Act, 1961. It is one of the 8 new IITs and got its stature as an autonomous institute of national importance in 2011 after the amendment in the IIT Act. Its permanent campus covers 525 acres and features Indus Valley Civilization architecture. The institute has been given the highest Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment (GRIHA) rating, the rating given to a building based on its long-term performance. The institute stood at the 22nd rank in the NIRF 2022 rankings. JEE Main 2024 exam dates have been released by NTA. JEE Main 2024 Session 1 exam will be conducted between January 24, 2024 and February 1, 2024, whereas the session 2 exam will be held from April 1, 2024 and April 15, 2024. The registration process for JEE Main will start in December 2023 (tentatively). IIT JAM 2024 exam will be held on February 11, 2024. GATE 2024 exam between February 3, 2024 and February 11, 2024.

The admissions to IIT Roopar are currently active and done on the basis of JEE (Advance) score. The registration for JEE Advanced will be open from August 7 to August 11 and the exam is scheduled for August 28. Candidates who have qualified for the JEE Mains exam are eligible to apply. The admissions to M.Tech courses have begun based on GATE. The GATE 2023 registrations will begin on August 31 and the exam is scheduled to be conducted in February 2023. The registrations for IIT-JAM 23 will begin on September 7, candidates are advised to check the official website for further details.

IIT Ropar Admission

Indian Institute of Technology [IIT], Ropar admission 2023 is under process, just like all the other IITs, it will be purely based on the marks and merit of the students. The admission processes in all the courses in the insitute are carried out online after the interested candidates appear for an appropriate eligibility test like JEE/ JAM/ GATE.
