IIT Bombay admission 2024 is currently open for the UG and PG courses. Admissions are based on scores in JEE Advanced and GATE scores. The GATE 2023 results are expected on March 16, 2024. The JEE Main Session 2 2024 exam is scheduled from April 01, 2024, to April 15, 2024.

Indian Institute of Technology Bombay was set up in 1961 and is a technical and research university located in Powai, Mumbai. IIT Bombay Admission 2024

Indian Institute of Technology, [IIT] Bombay Admission 2024 is in the process for B.Tech, B.Sc, M.Tech, MBA, etc through different entrance exams like JEE Main/CAT/GATE. For undergraduate courses in Engineering, candidates need to clear JEE advanced. For postgraduate courses, entrance exams like the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering for M.Tech and Ph.D. Similarly, there are entrance exams, group discussions, and personal interview processes for MBA courses. 

IIT Bombay Eligibility Criteria

IIT Bombay has different eligibility criteria for candidates interested in appearing for different entrance exams. Candidates who do not fulfill these are not given admission to their desired courses. These are mentioned separately for different courses.

B. Tech Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidate should have passed the 10+2 examination from the recognized board. 
  • The candidate must have scored a valid score in JEE Mains and JEE Advanced exams.

Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidate should have passed postgraduate with 60%.
  • They should have cleared the written entrance exam and interview or should have scored well on GATE. The score of the gate or written exam has a vital weightage.
  • A 4-year bachelor's degree is the minimum qualification required for engineering students.

M.Sc. Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidate must have done their graduation from a recognized university with a minimum of 60%.
  • They must have scored the qualifying marks in JAM.

IIT Bombay cutoff 2022 will be announced after the complete admission process. The institute's cut-off criteria are used to determine admission to various UG and PG courses. Students seeking admission to B.Tech and BS programs must have a valid JEE Advanced 2022 Cutoff, followed by JoSAA counseling. The entrance exams for different courses accepted by the institute are GATE Cutoff for M. Tech, Ph.D., JAM - M.Sc, JEE Mains and Advanced - B. Tech, and CEED / UCEED - Design.
