The JEE Advanced mock test can be taken on the official website, some of the highlights on the same are as follows.

  • The JEE Advanced mock test can be taken on the official website, it is made available on the official website every year.
  • No login credentials required to take the test.
  • All three subjects will be covered- Maths, Physics and Chemistry.
  • The duration of the exam will be 3 hours.
  • The timer will be started as soon as the students press the start button, the paper will be submitted automatically once the 180 minutes are over.

While the JEE Advanced mock test can be taken on the official website, the students need to keep some things in mind. Below are some of the instructions for JEE Advanced that can be followed by the students while taking the mock test online.

  • The JEE Advanced mock test will have a time limitation of 3 hours; all candidates need to complete the test in 3 hours.
  • Only the candidate taking the test can start the timer. The timer will start as soon as the student press the 'Start' button.
  • No candidates can submit the test before the timer ends. Only after the 180 minutes are exhausted, the candidates can submit the test.
  • Candidates can change the test's language by navigating to the profile section and clicking on the Profile picture. The default language seclection setting can be found there.

Navigation In The JEE Advanced Mock Test

Candidates will also have the option to navigate between the questions in case they want to. You can follow the below mentioned steps to navigate between the test.

  • To jump to a specific question number, candidates can click on the "Question Palette" in the right hand side of the screen. If the existing question is answered but not save it will not save the answer automatically, so the candidate will have to press on the "save and continue" button.

  • Once the candidate press on the 'Save & Next' button the answer will be saved and the next question will be displayed.

  • The 'Mark for Review & Next' button marks the question as "Review", which means you will review the question by the end, it can be both answer and not answered questions.

Pattern Description
Papers JEE Advanced exam has two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates must appear for both the papers. Both papers are divided into 3 sections (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics). 
Duration Time Duration of JEE Advanced Paper 1 & JEE Advanced Paper 2 is of 3 hours each.
Session 1: 09:00 to 12:00 IST
Session 2: 14:00 to 17:00 IST
Type of questions The question paper consists of objective type questions which include MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions) and Numerical type questions.
Language  The question papers will be set in English and Hindi only.

  • The steps which are given below need to be followed to complete the registration process for JEE Advanced:
    a) Visit the official website and fill in your personal, academic and communication details.
    b) Choose your preferred exam centre.
    c) Choose your question paper medium and complete details about your family background.
    d) Check the information you entered once again and then click the Final Submit button.
    e) Uploading of images which include thumb impression, signature and photograph.
    f) Click on the uploaded photograph and browse your computer to upload a photograph.
    g) The photograph must be in JPEG format, should not be larger than 100 kb and its dimensions should be 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm.
    h)  Click on the blank area to upload signature and browse your computer.
    i) The signature should be in JPEG format, the file size should not be larger than 30 kb and its dimensions should be 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm.
    j) Click on the blank area to upload the left-hand thumb impression.
    k) The thumb impression should be in JPEG format, its size should not be larger than 30 kb and its dimensions should be 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm.
    l)  Payment of the fees.
    m)  Choose your mode of payment among Debit Card/ Credit Card or through e-challan.
    n)  The application fees are based on the exam center and vary according to the mode you choose.
    o) Click on ‘Pay Now’.
