CMAT Merit List 2026 will be released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on exams.nta.ac.in/CMAT. How is the CMAT Merit List Prepared?
The CMAT merit list is generated based on the scores earned by you, and the NTA score computation method is utilized to determine your All India Rank. Your score will be determined by the CMAT 2026 marking methodology, namely,
- For each correct answer, four points will be awarded, and
- For each incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted.
The NTA score represents the percentage of pupils who have a score equal to or lower, and is determined using the following formula:
Equation: 100 times the number of students who appeared in the exam with raw marks equal to or less than the student divided by the total number of candidates who appeared.
You must understand that the NTA score is not an average of the individual subjects and is not equivalent to the percentage of marks received.
