CMAT exam pattern 2023 was formulated by the National Testing Agency. CMAT 2023 is conducted by the NTA for admission into the management courses offered at several B-schools across the country. CMAT Exam Pattern 2023 Highlights

- Each section had 20 questions with each question carrying four marks. A total of 80 questions were asked and CMAT's total marks was 400 (80 x 50).

- Questions that are ignored by the exam authority was awarded 4 marks for each question.
- As per CMAT Exam Pattern 2023, the exam was conducted online, in two shifts (Morning and Afternoon).

CMAT 2023 Exam Pattern Details
Each correct answer was awarded +4 marks and for every incorrect answer mark deduction in CMAT is about 1 mark. This deduction in marks is termed CMAT Negative Marking. Innovation and Entrepreneurship
This year, the conducting authorities have included an additional section, which shall contain 20 questions based on Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Section-Based CMAT Exam Pattern 2023

The candidates who wish to attempt the optional subject will have to specify the same while filling out their application form. CMAT Marking Scheme 2023
The NTA uses the marking criteria to correct and validate the answers given by the candidates. These marking criteria are in accordance with CMAT pattern and are very important. Given below is CMAT marking scheme, which the candidates can refer to.
- Candidates were awarded 4 marks for every right answer.
- CMAT 2023 exam pattern had a negative marking system, hence candidates will lose 1 mark for each wrong/incorrect answer.
- The candidates should be aware that the questions with multiple correct answers were awarded 4 marks if either one of the correct answers is written. Unanswered and wrong answers will be validated as usual.
- + 4 marks was awarded for each question ignored by the exam authority.
