LPUNEST Eligibility 2019

Nationality:

You have to be an Indian National to apply for or to get a scholarship for any courses through LPUNEST 2019.

  • If you are applying for LPUNEST 2019, it has different eligibility criteria for different courses. You can check if you are eligible for either of the programmes B.Tech/B.Des/BBA/MBA/B.PHARM/BPT/B.MLT below, if you are looking for other courses, you can check it in nest.lpu.in

  • Eligibility criteria will give a student insight into what is needed to apply for the exams. LPUNEST Syllabus is made up of all courses and the questions for the exams will be taken from the topics given in it.

LPU NEST Eligibility 2019 for B.Tech

Qualifying Examination:

You must have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi) or The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ICSE, New Delhi) or State Board or any other Council, Institution, college etc. declared recognised by Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi or any other concerned apex body as applicable.

Aggregate:

  • You must have 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics, and English being the main subjects.

  • If you are seeking admissions to B.Tech. Biotechnology, B.Tech. (Food Technology), B.Tech. (Biomedical Engineering), B.Tech. Biotechnology (Hons.) should have 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, English & either Maths or Biology or Biotechnology.

  • If you are seeking admissions to B.Tech. Chemical Engineering (CHE) and B.Tech. (CHE - Petroleum), you must have at least an aggregate of 60%  in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English.

Note: 5% relaxation will be given to you if you are from North East States and Sikkim / Defence Personnel or dependant on one / ward of Kashmiri Migrants.

LPU NEST Eligibility 2019 for Design Courses in UG

Qualifying Examination:

You should have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi) or The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ICSE, New Delhi) or State Board or any other Council, Institution, college etc. declared recognised by Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi or any other concerned apex body as applicable.

Aggregate: 

If you want admission in B.Design or B.Sc (Design) you should pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English) or equivalent. and you should have a valid score in LPUNEST (UG Design) or UCEED.

Note: 5% relaxation will be given to you if you are from Nort East states and Sikkim / Defence Personnel or dependant on one / ward of Kashmiri Migrants.

LPU NEST Eligibility 2019 for MBA

Qualifying Examination:

 If you are applying for MBA in LPUNEST, then either you should have completed your graduation or in the final examination of your graduation from University Grants Commissions (UGC) recognized University, Institution, College, etc.

Aggregate:

 You should have passed with 50% aggregate marks in Bachelor's Degree (any discipline) or equivalent, and you should qualify LPUNEST (MBA) or CAT or XAT or MAT or CMAT and Interview.

Note: 5% relaxation will be given to you if you are from North East states and Sikkim / Defence Personnel or dependant on one / ward of Kashmiri Migrants.

LPU NEST Eligibility 2019 for UG courses in Law

Qualifying Examination:

You should have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi) or The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ICSE, New Delhi) or State Board or any other Council, Institution, college etc. declared recognised by Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi or any other concerned apex body as applicable.

Aggregate: 

If you are seeking admission in B.A., LL.B (Hons.), B.com, LL.B(Hons) and BBA, LLB, (Hons) then you should have passed with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (any stream) with English or equivalent, and you should have a valid score in LPUNEST (UG-LAW) or CLAT or LSAT -- India.

Note:

  • 5% relaxation is given for SC/ST candidates and 3% is given for OBC candidates

  • 5% relaxation is given to North East states and Sikkim students / Wards of Kashmiri Migrants / Defence Personnel and their Dependents.

  • If an applicant belongs in both categories, then one of the relaxations will be considered.

LPU NEST Eligibility Criteria 2019 For UG AMS (Bachelor of Pharmacy, B.Sc (Medical Lab. Technology), Bachelor of Physiotherapy)

Qualifying Examination:

 You should have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi) or The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ICSE, New Delhi) or State Board or any other Council, Institution, college etc. declared recognised by Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi or any other concerned apex body as applicable.  

Aggregate: 

Courses needed for one to apply for a particular program (B.Pharm., BPT, B.Sc. Medical Lab. technology) differs, as the eligibility aggregate marks are 60% for both programs. Below is the list of courses needed for an applicant to be eligible to study any of the programs in AMS (Applied Medical Sciences).

B.Pharm. (Bachelor of Pharmacy): You should have passed 10+2 examination (with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Maths) or equivalent, you should have a valid score in LPUNEST (UG AMS) or NEET.

BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy): You should have passed 10+2 examination (with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology) or equivalent, you should have a valid score in LPUNEST (UG AMS) or NEET.

B.MLT ((Bachelor of (Medical Lab. Technology)): You should have passed 10+2 examination (with English, Chemistry and either Biology, Maths or Biotechnology) or 2 years MLT Diploma after 10th or equivalent, you should have a valid score in LPUNEST 2019 (UG AMS) or NEET.     

       Note: 

  • If you have not studied English as a subject, the condition of English as listed may be reconsidered only if, in your qualifying exam, you studied in English medium.
  • Also 5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates, Defence Personnel and their Dependents and Wards of Kashmiri Migrants.
  • And 10% relaxation to outstanding Sports Persons (i.e. A/A+ category as per Sports Scholarship), Subject to verification from Selection committee* of the University.

*The Selection Team (Division of Student Welfare (Head), Director of Sports, Dy. Director of Sports, Concerned Coach and Vice Chancellor Nominee).

  • In case you fall in both categories mentioned, then only one relaxation in eligibility will be given.

The aggregate differs according to the courses which the candidate is seeking admission for, candidates can refer the below section to get a clear view of the LPUNEST 2018 Exam eligibility criteria:

  • Candidate must have 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English being the main subjects.

  • Candidates seeking admissions to B.Tech. Biotechnology (BT), B.Tech. (Food Technology)B.Tech. (Biomedical Engineering), B.Tech. Biotechnology (Hons.) should have 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, English & either Maths or Biology or Biotechnology.

Hello Rajneesh,

If the candidate has secured more than 90% in the qualifying examination, then they will be exempted from the LPUNEST and JEE Main qualification criteria and may directly apply for LPUNEST 2018 application Form. Before filling LPUNEST application form 2018, candidates must go through the LPUNEST 2018 Application Process.

The eligibility criteria for the LPUNEST exam is as below: -

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • The candidate must have qualified class 12th from a recognised state or central board.
  • The candidate must have secured minimum 70% marks in class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics OR
  • Minimum 60% in the qualifying exam with PCM and a valid score in LPUNEST 2017 or in JEE Mains.
  • For candidates seeking admission into B.Tech Biotechnology and Food Processing, he/she should have had Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology in class 12th.
