The JEECUP 2021 exam, also known as UP Polytechnic, is conducted for admission into different polytechnic and diploma courses offered at various colleges/institutes in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Candidates who want to get admission into these courses have to appear for this exam since the exam's score is one of the entry requirements for such courses. Candidates registering for the exam must make sure they meet the JEECUP 2021 eligibility criteria. This section discusses all the important aspects of the JEECUP eligibility criteria 2021 in detail.

JEECUP 2021 Eligibility Criteria

There are different factors that come into play like nationality, domicile, age of the candidate in the JEECUP eligibility 2021. The age limit and education qualification with cut off marks required as per the eligibility for JEECUP 2021 are given below for the candidates to go through.

Education Qualification

There are certain educational qualifications that an applicant needs in order to take admission to the participating colleges through JEECUP. The detailed educational qualification criteria for JEECUP is as follows:

  • Diploma: The candidates must have passed a 10th standard examination in the relevant stream with a minimum of 35% marks from a recognized Board of Education
  • PG Diploma: The candidates must have passed a Bachelor's Degree in the relevant stream from a recognized university
  • Post Diploma: The candidates must have passed an Engineering Diploma for clearing the JEECUP Eligibility 2021

JEECUP Eligibility 2021- Age Limit

There is no upper age limit prescribed in the conditions of eligibility for JEECUP 2021. However, the candidates must be a minimum of 14 years of age on Jul 1, 2021 to apply for the exam.

JEECUP Domicile Criteria 2021

Candidates possessing the Uttar Pradesh State domicile certificate are eligible to apply for the exam. The candidates who have passed their 10th and 12th classes from schools situated in the state can also apply for the exam. The conducting authorities may ask the candidates to present some of the documents to prove their domicile, such as the electricity or water bills of the last 6-7 years.

Group D Modern Office Management & Secretarial Practice Pass the 12th standard with English and Hindi as a subject in class 10th and 12th
Library & Information Science Passed the 12th standard
Group E Diploma in Pharmacy Passed the 12th standard with Science as a subject with a minimum of 50% marks and (40% marks for SC/ ST category candidates)
Group F Post Graduate in Biotechnology Passed B.Sc in Biology, Chemistry/ Biotechnology
Group G Post-Graduate Diploma Courses Passed Graduation in any stream
Group H Diploma in Hotel Management Passed the 12th standard with 50% marks and (40% marks for SC/ ST category candidates)
Group I Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Passed the 12th standard with Science as a subject with a minimum of 50% marks in Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics
Group J Post Diploma in Information Technology Passed Engineering Diploma from BTE UP affiliated Institution

Reservation Policy in JEECUP 2021

As per the UP Government rules, candidates belonging to certain categories are admitted to seats reserved for them based on the relaxed JEECUP or UP Polytechnic Eligibility Criteria 2021. The reserved policy is as follows:

Vertical Reservations for JEECUP Eligibility 2021

  • Other Backward Classes (OBC) if they belong to Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) - 27%
  • Scheduled Castes (SC) - 21%
  • Scheduled Tribes (ST) - 2%

Horizontal Reservations for JEECUP 2021 Eligibility Criteria

  • Persons with Disability (PwD) minimum 40% disability)- 3%
  • Freedom Fighters- 2%
  • Ward of Military personnel- 5%
  • Girl Candidate of All Categories- 20%

Note: Candidates belonging to "VIMUKTA JATIYAN" are not allowed to take any benefit of reservation as Schedule Tribes (ST) during admissions.

JEECUP Application Form 2021

The JEECUP Application Form 2021 was released on Feb 26, 2021 and will be available for the candidates until Jul 15, 2021. Candidates should meet the JEECUP Eligibility 2021 criteria prior to applying for the exam, otherwise, their application forms will be considered invalid. Along with the application forms, candidates must attach certain required documents.

JEECUP Application Form Fees 2021

The candidates belonging to the General and OBC categories will be required to pay INR 300 as application fees for JEECUP. Those candidates who belong to the other reserved categories will be liable to pay INR 200 as the JEECUP 2021 application fee.
