Overview of the Eligibility Criteria for AP EAMCET 2019

Qualification
B.Sc/ B.Tech: 45% in 12th. MBBS/BDS: 50% in 12th. BAMS/BHMS/BNYS: Completed or pursuing 12th or equivalent.
Age
B.Sc/ B.Tech: minimum 17 years. Other Courses: minimum 16 years.
Reservation
General Category: minimum of 45% in PCM Reserved Category: minimum 40% in PCM

Eligibility for AP EAMCET 2020

The candidate must have passed or appeared for the Intermediate Examination (10+2) or a Diploma course from the boards that are recognized by the Government of the state. They should also be fulfilling the local/non-local status laid out by the State as well as the Educational Institutions. Candidates that are satisfying the eligibility standards can apply online from February 2020.

AP EAMCET Eligibility Criteria for Engineering Courses

AP EAMCET 2020, the annual entrance examination conducted by JNTU (Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University) Kakinada for B.Tech/B.Sc/        B.Pharm admissions will be held from April 20 to 22, 2019. AP EAMCET 2020 will be conducted in online mode and the questions will be multiple choice in nature spread across different sections. The following eligibility criteria apply for Engineering, B.Pharmacy, Pharma.D, B.Tech(Dairy), B.Tech(Ag. Engineering), B.Tech(FS & T), B.Sc(Agri. Engineering). AP EAMCET 2020 Eligibility Criteria for engineering exam are different from agriculture exam. The time slot for the exam is between 10.00 AM to 1.00 PM and 2.30 PM to 5.30 PM at the online test centres only. The eligibility for the exam is as follows:

Eligibility Criteria Based on Nationality:

  • Citizenship: Candidate should be an Indian citizen to be eligible to participate in AP EAMCET 2020 or must belong to the Person of India Origin (PIO)/ Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) (Card Holders) category to be eligible to apply for AP EAMCET 2020.
  • Native: you should be a domicile of the state of Andhra Pradesh/Telangana and you should have a domicile certificate. 
  • Status Requirement: To satisfy AP EMCET 2020 Eligibility standards Candidate should belong to Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana state. The candidates should satisfy Local/Non-local status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana.

Eligibility Criteria Based on Age:

  • Candidate should be more than 17 years for B.Tech.(Dairy Technology), B.Tech(FS & T), B.Tech(Ag. Engineering) and B.Sc.(CA & BM). There is a maximum age limit of 22 years which is relaxable by 3 years for SC/ST candidates.
  • The upper age limit for the candidates belonging to General Category must be 22 years, while for SC/ST category, they must be 25 years of age as on December 31 of the admission year.

Eligibility Criteria Based on Qualification:

  • Compulsory Subjects: Candidate must have cleared or appeared for Class 12th or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as major subjects and the particular exam should be recognized by Andhra Pradesh board which include IPE (Intermediate Public Examination), CBSE etc.
  • Diploma Candidates: Candidates who have completed or qualified the final year of diploma in engineering courses are also eligible for AP EAMCET 2020. The diploma examination must be conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh/Telangana. 
  • Marks Required for General & OBC Students: General and OBC candidates must secure 45% in their 12th examination in PCM or in the diploma course to be eligible for AP EAMCET 2020.
  • Marks required: Candidates from General category should have a minimum of 45% and candidates from Reserved categories should have a minimum of 40% in order to appear for AP EAMCET 2020.
  • Diploma in Pharmacy: Candidates who have completed a diploma in Pharmacy can also apply for Pharma.D course.
  • Conducting board: The diploma exam should have been conducted by State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh/Telangana.
  • Note: In case the candidate is appearing for the entrance examination while their qualifying examination's results are pending then his/her entry will be valid only if he/she clears the qualifying examination.

AP EAMCET 2020 Eligibility Criteria for Pharma D

Candidates have to refer to the eligibility criteria of AP EAMCET 2020 to check if they are eligible for B.Pharm admissions or not. The various criteria related to age, nationality, domicile and more have to be fulfilled by the candidates. If the candidates are unable to meet the criteria they will be lead to the disqualification of the candidates. AP EAMCET 2020 eligibility criteria for B.Pharm is listed below for everyone’s reference:

  • Age Limit –  Candidates should have completed 17 years of age by the date of commencement of admission into the course or on such other date as notified by the authorities. There is no upper age limit.
  • Nationality – Candidates who are of Indian nationality or belong to Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) category will be termed eligible. 
  • Domicile – The domicile requirements of Andhra Pradesh/Telangana has to be satisfied as mentioned by the Official Authority.
  • Academic Requirements – The candidate appearing for the examination should have passed or appeared for the final year of the intermediate examination (10+2) with Biology, Physics, and Chemistry as optional subjects conducted by Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh/Telangana.
  • Academic Qualifying marks - Candidates must obtain a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in the subjects mentioned above taken together in the qualifying examination.

AP EAMCET 2020 Eligibility Criteria for Agriculture and Medical Courses:

The exam has been scheduled from April 23rd to April 24th on the online mode. The following eligibility criteria apply for B.V.Sc. & A.H./B.Sc.(Ag)/B.Sc.(Hort)/B.F.Sc./B.Tech.(FS&T), B.Pharma 

Eligibility Criteria Based on Nationality:

  • Citizenship: Candidate should be an Indian citizen to be eligible to participate in AP EAMCET 2020 or must belong to the Person of India Origin (PIO)/ Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) (Card Holders) category to be eligible to apply for AP EAMCET 2020.
  • Native: Candidate should be a native to the state of Andhra Pradesh/Telangana.
  • Status Requirement: Candidates should fulfil local/non-local status requirements as laid down by Andhra Pradesh Educational institutions.

Eligibility Criteria Based on Age:

Minimum age: The candidate must meet the below criteria to be eligible for AP EAMCET 2020.

  • Candidates should be more than 17 years as on December 31st of the year of application.
  • An upper age limit is 22 years and age relaxation of 3 years is provided to candidates from reserved categories.
  • For B.Pharma, candidates should have completed 16 years of age.

Eligibility Criteria Based on Qualification:

  • For B.Pharm, candidates should have cleared or should be appearing in the final year of the intermediate with Biology, Chemistry & Physics subjects.
  • For agriculture courses, candidates should have cleared or should be appearing in Higher Secondary or equivalent exam with any two or three of the given subjects:
    • B.Sc.(Ag.) & B.Sc.(Hort):
      • Physical sciences
      • Agriculture
      • Biological or Natural sciences
      • Vocational course in Agriculture
    • B.V.Sc. & A.H:
      • Physical sciences
      • Biological or Natural sciences
      • Vocational courses in Veterinary sciences
    • B.F.Sc: 
      • Physical sciences
      • Biological or Natural sciences
      • Vocational courses in Fishery Sciences
    • B.Tech. (FS & T), B.Pharmacy & Pharm-D:
      • Mathematics
      • Biological or Natural sciences
      • Physical sciences 

Reservation of Seats in AP EAMCET 2020 

 The colleges participating in the AP EAMCET have a certain percentage of seats reserved for the candidates belonging to the underprivileged section (SC, ST, PWD and OBC).

The reservation percentages are regulated yearly by the Government Norms, and for the EAMCET 2020, no official data has been released by them. But from the previously issued data, the reservations for each category are mentioned below:

  • Other Backward Caste (OBC): Eligible for 25% reservation.
  • Scheduled Tribes (ST): Eligible for 15% reservation.
  • Scheduled Caste (SC): Eligible for 6% reservation.
  • Physically Handicapped (PH): Eligible for 3% reservation.
  • Children of Current or Ex-Servicemen: Eligible for 2% reservation.

Other forms of reservations that are considered for the AP EAMCET are as below:

  • Female Candidates from any Category: Eligible for a seat reservation of 33%.
  • Active NCC Participants: Eligible for a seat reservation of 1%.
  • Candidates under Sports Quota: Eligible for a seat reservation of 0.5%.

 Note:

  • Guidelines for Applying: The candidates must satisfy the eligibility criteria before applying for the AP EAMCET 2020 examination.
  • Termination of Admission Process: Failing to abide by the eligibility criteria for AP EAMCET 2020 might lead to the candidate's termination from the exam or the Counselling Process of AP EAMCET 2020 or the admission process.
