KIITEE Eligibility Overview

Age
Minimum of 17 years.
Qualification
Completed or pursuing 10+2 with 60% aggregate.

KIITEE 2020 exam is conducted by KIIT University for admission into UG (undergraduate), PG (postgraduate), engineering and various other courses. Candidates appearing for the KIITEE exam has to meet each of the eligibility criteria enlisted in the KIITEE exam brochure. If the candidate fails to meet any of the eligibility criteria then he/she might not be allowed to appear for the examination.

KIITEE 2020 Eligibility 

KIITEE 2020 Eligibility Criteria is different for various courses. Eligibility criteria are different for different courses selected. For example, education qualification marks requirement as well as age limit paly an important role in the eligibility criteria for KIITEE examination. The criteria for the different courses are listed below:

KIITEE Eligibility for UG Courses

For B.Tech (4 years)/B.Tech & M.Tech (Dual Degree) Biotechnology (5 years)

Candidates who have qualified 10+2 in 2018/2019 or who are appearing in 2020 are only eligible to apply for B.Tech (4 years)/B.Tech & M.Tech (Dual Degree) (Biotechnology) of KIITEE.

Candidates should have passed 10+2 and in addition, they also have a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology/Biotechnology taken together.

Candidates should have born after July 1, 1999.

For B.Tech (Lateral Entry- 3 years)

Candidates should have passed a Diploma course in Engineering with at least 60% aggregate from a State Council of Technical Education of any state.

Candidates should have born after July 1, 1996 to apply for B.Tech Lateral Entry course.

For B.Tech in Architecture (5 years)

Candidate should have qualified 10+2 with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also 50% in aggregate of whole 10+2 exam. Also, candidate should have qualified the NATA exam or JEE Main Paper-II.

For B.Sc Nursing (4 years)

Candidates should have qualified 10+2 or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (PCBE) with at least 45% marks in aggregate.

Lower age limit of a candidate should be 17 years as on December 31, 2020 and the upper age limit should be 35 years as on December 31, 2020.

For B.A.LL.B/BBA LL.B/B.Sc LL.B (5 years)

Candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent with at least 45% marks aggregate. For B.Sc LL.B, candidates should have qualified 10+2 in Science stream with 45% marks.

Candidates who are not completed 21 years of age as on July 1, 2020 can apply.

For BBA (3 years)

candidates should have secured at least 50% marks in 10+2 having Mathematics/Business Mathematics/Economics/Statistics as one of the subjects. Candidates who are born on/after July 1, 1999 are eligible to apply for BBA under KIITEE.

For BCA (3 years)

Candidates who have qualified 10+2 with Mathematics as a subject with at least 50% marks aggregate. Candidates who have born on/after July 1, 1999 can apply for BCA program under KIITEE.

For B.Des (Fashion/Textile) (4 years)

Candidates should have qualified 10+2 in any stream with a minimum of 50% aggregate. Also, applying candidate should also be born on/after July 1, 1999.

For Bachelor of Film & Television Production (3 years)

Candidates should have qualified 10+2 in any stream with a minimum of 50% aggregate. Also, applying candidate should also be born on/after July 1, 1999.

For Master of Mass Communication (5 years)

Candidates should have qualified 10+2 in any stream with a minimum of 50% aggregate. Also, applying candidate should also be born on/after July 1, 1999.

For B.Sc (Computer Science)

Candidates should have qualified 10+2 with Mathematics as one of the subjects with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. Also, applying candidate should also be born on/after July 1, 1999.

For B.A. (Economics Hons.) (3 years)

Candidates should have qualified 10+2/equivalent in any stream with a minimum of 50% aggregate. Also, applying candidate should also be born on/after July 1, 1999.

For B.A. (English Hons.) (3 years)

Candidates should have qualified 10+2/equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate. Also, applying candidate should also be born on/after July 1, 1999.

For B.Com (3 years)

Candidates should have qualified 10+2 in any stream with Mathematics/Business Mathematics & Statistics as one of the subjects with a minimum of 50% aggregate. Also, applying candidate should also be born on/after July 1, 1999.

Note: Candidate who has passed IB Diploma from International Baccalaureate Organization, Geneva (Switzerland) can apply for any course where 10+2 is the eligibility qualification. Other criteria will remain applicable.

KIITEE Eligibility for PG Courses

For MCA (3 years)

 

Any candidate with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in graduation or equivalent having Maths either in 10+2 or graduation level as one of the subjects. Candidates who are born on/after July 1, 1996 are eligible to apply.

For MCA (Lateral Entry 2 years)

Candidate who has passed or appearing with a minimum of 50% aggregate in BCA, B.Sc (IT/Computer Science/IST/ITM) from a recognized University. Candidates who are born on/after July 1, 1996 are eligible to apply.

For M.Tech (2 years)

Candidate should have passed B.Tech or B.E. or any equivalent degree (AMIE, GRADE-IETE etc.) in respective branches of Engineering and Technology with a First Class MCA/First Class M.Sc in (Comp/IT/ETC).

GATE qualified candidates shall be preferred in the selection process. Candidates scoring more than 400 marks in GATE need not sit in the exam.

Course-wise eligibility for each specialization in M.Tech:

Electrical- Specialization in Power Electronics & Drives/Power Energy & System/Power System Engineering:

Candidates who have passed B.E./B.Tech or equivalent in Electrical, Electronics & Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunication, Electronics & Instrumentation & Electronics & Communication are eligible.

Computer Science & Engineering- Specialization in Engineering /Computer Science & Information Security/Data Analytics/Software Engineering:

Candidates who have qualified B.E./B.Tech with First Class in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunication, Electronics & Instrumentation or First Class in MCA or First Class in M.Sc. Comp.Sc/IT are eligible to apply.

Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering- Specialization in VLSI Design & Embedded Systems/RF & Microwave:

Candidates should have qualified B.E./B.Tech with First Class in Electronics & Telecommunication, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Electrical or First Class in M.Sc (Electronics).

Mechanical Engineering- Specialization in Specialization in Manufacturing Process & Systems/Thermal Engineering/Machine Design:

Candidates should have passed B.E. or B.Tech in Mechanical or Production Engineering with First Class.

Civil Engineering- SPecialization in Construction Engineering & Management/StructuralEngineering/Geotechnical Engineering/Water Resources Engineering:

Candidates should have passed B.E. or B.Tech in Civil Engineering with First Class.

For M.Sc (Biotechnology/Applied Microbiology) (2 years)

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in any branch of Science/Agriculture/Pharmacy/Veterinary/Engineering/Technology/Medicine (MBBS/MDS) with at least 55% marks aggregate.

Candidates born on or after July 1, 1996 are eligible to apply.

For M.Sc Nursing (2 years)

Candidate should be a registered nurse or registered midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.

Minimum education qualification should be a degree in B.Sc Nursing/B.Sc Hons. Nursing/Post Basic Nursing with a 55% minimum aggregate (5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates). Candidates should have undergone any of the above courses from an institution recognized by Indian Nursing Council.

Minimum 1-year of experience after Basic B.Sc Nursing is required. Candidate should be medically fit.

For LL.M (1 year)

Candidates who have acquired a degree in B.A. LL.B/BBA LL.B/B.Sc. LL.B/B.L or equivalent from a recognized university and must have scored at least 55% aggregate marks.

For Master of Public Health (2 years)

Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in any Health Science [MBBS/BDS/BHMS/BAMS/BNYS/BPT/B.Sc Nursing (Basic or Post Basic)/B.Pharm] discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks.

For Master of Hospital Administration (2 years)

Candidates must have qualified Bachelor's Degree in MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS
BNYS/BPT/BSc Nursing (Basic or Post Basic)/BPharm/BSc in Allied Health Sciences/Bachelor's degree in Arts/Commerce/Science/Law from a recognized university with min. 50% marks in aggregate.

For Integrated M.Sc & Ph.D Programme (5years) (Applied Physics / Applied Chemistry / Mathematics and Data Sciences)

Candidates must have passed B.Sc./B.E./B.Tech. or an equivalent degree with at least 60% aggregate. Students possessing a Bachelor's degree with Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics as one of the main subjects or Engineering Graduates with a strong aptitude for the above areas are eligible to apply. Students who are in the final year of their Graduation may also apply.

For M.A. (Yoga Therapy) (2 years)

Applying candidates should be graduates in any stream.

For M.Sc (Computer Science) (2 years)

Applying candidates should have a B.Sc degree in Computer Science/IT/Mathematics/Electronics/Physics/Chemistry/BCA with a minimum of 50% aggregate.

For M.A. (Economics) (2 years)

Candidates must be Graduate or equivalent with one subject as Economics/Mathematics/Statistics with at least 50% marks.

M.A. in English (2 years)

Candidates who have passed Graduation or equivalent with one subject as English with 50% aggregate.

M.A. in Sociology (2 years)

Candidates should be a Graduate or equivalent with a 50% marks aggregate.

M.Com (2 years)

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Management or Commerce from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% aggregate.

Master of Mass Communication (2 years)

Candidate must have passed Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks.

KIITEE Eligibility for Research Programme

For Ph.D

Candidates having M.Tech/M.E/MCA/MBA or equivalent degree with 60% aggregate at least or an equivalent CGPA or M.Sc/M.A./M.Com/LL.M or an equivalent degree with a minimum of 55% marks aggregate or equivalent.

Reservation Criteria for KIITEE 2020

Reservation criteria are different for all reserved categories. During counselling, candidates claiming seats under reserved categories in KIITEE 2020, have to produce a certain set of documents in support of their claim.
