The KIITEE Cut off marks criteria determines the qualifying cut off for candidates based on the KITEE Merit list. The conducting body i.e. Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology conducts the counselling process based on the category-wise qualifying cut off and the merit list. All candidates need to ensure that they score above the KIITEE cut off marks and be part of the rank list which is available for download on the official website.

Tie-Breaker Criteria for KIITEE Cut Off 2021

The KIITEE cut off rank for counseling will be notified to the selected candidates as per the availability of seats across different courses based on their preferences. Only the candidates who have scored above the cut off marks will be called for the counseling process. In case of two or more candidates obtaining same marks, the KIITEE merit list is prepared and the rank of such candidates shall be determined based on the following rules or criteria for Tie-breaker:

  • B.Tech: The order of preference is given in the order of marks obtained in Mathematics, followed by Physics and then age (preference to older candidates).
  • B.Tech (Lateral Entry): The order of preference is given in the order of marks obtained in Mathematics, followed by Basic Electrical Engineering and and then age (preference to older candidates).
  • B.Arch: Preference is given based on marks obtained in NATA.
  • B.Sc. Nursing: The preference order is decided on the basis of marks obtained in Biology, followed by Chemistry and then age (Preference to older candidate).
  • BBA/BCA/Bachelor in Design (Fashion/Textile)/Bachelor in Film & Television Production/BA. LLB/BBA LLB/B.Sc. LLB/Master of Mass Communication (Integrated): If two or more candidates score same marks, then preference is given on the basis of Marks obtained in Mathematical Ability, followed by marks in Analytical Ability, followed by English and then age (preference to the older candidate).
  • B.A Economics (Hons), B.A Sociology (Hons), B.A English (Hons), B.Com: Preference is given to older candidates.
  • Biotechnology - Dual Degree (B.Tech/M.Tech)(5 years): The order of preference is given in the order of marks obtained in Biology, followed by Chemistry and then age (preference to older candidate).
  • MCA/MCA (Lateral Entry): The preference order is determined on the basis of the marks obtained in Computer Awareness, then Mathematics and then age (preference to older candidates).
  • M.Tech, M.Sc (Computer Science), MA in Economics/Sociology/English, M.Com, Master of Mass Communication (2 Years): The preference is given to older candidates in case they score same marks in the exam.
  • M.Sc. (Applied Microbiology/Biotechnology): The merit list is finalized on the basis of marks obtained in Biology, followed by Chemistry, then Mathematics and then by age (preference to older candidates).
  • LLM: KIITEE merit list is prepared while giving preference to older candidates in case of a tie-breaker.
