JEE counselling 2024 will be conducted in 6 rounds and four different processes: JoSAA Counselling, CSAB Special Rounds, CSAB NEUT Counselling and CSAB Supernumerary Rounds.
Candidates planning to appear for JEE Main 2024 counselling must score 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination. They must complete the JEE Main 2024 registration and choice-filling process to participate in the counselling process.
The Authority will announce the JoSAA seat allotment result round-wise on the official website. JoSAA seat allotment result 2024 can be checked online at josaa.nic.in. The application number and password are required to view the JoSSA 2024 seat allotment result.

JEE Main Counselling 2024 Dates
The JEE Main Counselling date 2024 will be announced after the JEE Main Result 2024 for session 2 on 25th April 2024. Qualified candidates in the JEE Main 2024 exam must participate in the JoSAA counselling process for admission to all participating institutions using their JEE Main exam results. JoSAA will be used to admit JEE advanced ranked applicants to IITs.
The candidates' selections made during JoSAA 2024 registration will be used to determine how many seats they receive. There is no official update regarding the JEE counselling 2024 registration date. However, it is expected that the JEE mains counselling registration 2024 will be conducted from 10th June 2024.

JEE Main 2024 Counselling Process
Before the NIT counselling 2024 date announcement, there will be two mock rounds so that the candidates get clarity on the counselling. The process involves various steps such as JEE Main counselling registration, selection of colleges and courses, paying the JEE Main counselling 2024 fees, choice-locking, etc.

Step 1: JEE Main Counselling Registration
Candidates follow the below-mentioned steps for the JEE Mains Counselling registration process.
- Candidates must visit the official website of JoSAA for JEE Main Counselling.
- They can log in to the page using their roll number.
- The registration form for JoSAA will be displayed on the screen.
- Students must read the instructions carefully before clicking on "I Accept".

- They need to click on the "Declaration".

- They will get the NIT counselling 2024 seat allotment letter via SMS/E-mail from JoSAA a few days after completing their choice.
- Candidates are advised to download the JEE Main Counselling seat allotment letter.
Step 4: Fee Payment and Seat Acceptance

Step 6: Reporting to the Allotted College

Documents Required for JEE Mains Counselling
After accepting their assigned seats, candidates must go to the reporting centres established by JoSAA to verify their documents. Candidates must bring all of the documentation mentioned below with them while reporting.

JEE Main Special Round Counselling 2024
JEE Main counselling 2024 includes the CSAB providing centralised counselling for the following four categories.
- CSAB Special Round is open to all NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs in India.
- CSAB SFTI (Self-Financing Technical Institutes): For 12 self-financing technical institutes
- CSAB NEUT: For extra seats in JEE Mains in NITs for Union Territories and several AICTE-approved institutes in the North East and Union Territories (NEUT). Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, Dadar & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Andaman & Nicobar, and Lakshadweep are among the 12 North East and Union Territories for which the CSAB will conduct counselling.

After the JoSAA 2024 seat distribution process is completed, the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) will conduct two special rounds of JEE Main counselling 2024.
- For seats in JEE Mains that remain unfilled after seven rounds of JoSAA counselling, CSAB special rounds are held.

JEE Main Eligibility for Admission to B.Arch

Candidates who have qualified for JEE Main but have not qualified for JEE Advanced can apply for colleges like NITs, IITs, and GFTIs. They can register for JEE Main counselling at their preferred college, and the seat will be allotted based on the rank score, category, and seat availability. JEE Main Counselling: CSAB NEUT and CSAB SFTI

What is dual reporting in JEE Main counselling ?
If a candidate has accepted a seat of an NIT in the previous round and his seat is upgraded to an IIT in the next round, then he will have to report at the reporting centre of the IIT and accept the seat even if he has reported at the NIT, otherwise, he will lose both the seats. As the process involves two reporting it is called dual reporting.
