JEE Main 2018 Paper Analysis

Read the JEE Main 2018 exam analysis in the section below.

  • Experts claim that there were no differences between the 2018 and previous versions of the JEE Main paper 1 pattern. Check out GetMyUni's JEE Main 2018 Exam Analysis by professionals.
  • The pen and paper portion of the JEE Main-2018 exam was of a moderate difficulty level, according to Brajesh Maheshwari, Director of ALLEN Career Institute.
  • The pupils will receive grades in math and physics. Both exams weren't overly challenging or easy.
  • The nicest part is that there is only one answer to each question, and it is clear what it is.

JEE Main 2018 by Allen Career Institute

  • The NCERT-based exam consisted of an equal number of easy, moderate-level, and challenging questions.
  • There was an unequal allocation of subjects this year.
  • There were some themes for which there were numerous questions, while there were others for which there were none. For instance, questions from Geometrical Optics and Carbonyl Compound in Chemistry and Physics, respectively, were not asked.
  • 47 questions from the syllabus for the 12th standard were included in the test.
  • In contrast, 43 questions from the 11th grade curriculum were asked.
  • The total number of questions from the 12th grade curriculum totaled 188 points, with 16 questions carrying 64 points, 15 carrying 60 points, and 16 carrying 64 points.
  • While the total number of questions from the 11th grade curriculum totaled 172 marks, 14 of them were worth 56 points, 15 were worth 60, and 14 were for 56.
  • Chemistry was covered in 30 questions in the test, totaling 120 points. It contained five challenging questions worth 20 points. 10 questions for 40 marks, all of moderate difficulty. 15 questions, totaling 60 marks, were on the easy side.
  • Only 2 of the math questions, both worth 8 marks, were challenging. 11 questions, worth 44 points and of moderate difficulty, were asked. While 17 questions, totaling 68 marks, were on the easy side.
  • In Physics only 1 question of 4 marks was difficult.19 questions comprising of 76 marks had a moderate difficulty level. Whereas 10 questions carrying 40 marks were easy.

JEE Main 2018 Exam Analysis by FIITJEE

  • In comparison to other years, the JEE (Main) paper -1 pattern remained unchanged.
  • The three-hour JEE Main 2018 exam has 90 questions in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Each question carries four points. If the answer is incorrect, 1/4 of the total marks for the question will be subtracted; however, if the question is not attempted, there will be no reduction. Examine the JEE Main 2018 syllabus and pattern on Shiksha.
  • The degree of difficulty, according to student feedback:
  • Physics - Moderate
  • Chemistry: Simple (Mostly NCERT based)
  • Mathematics: Moderate
  • In 2018, Paper I for BE/BTech courses followed a similar pattern to that of years prior (2014–2017).
  • Although the paper was balanced and based on the CBSE Class XI and XII syllabus, many of the questions were conceptual and some required analytical skills.
  • 20 questions first appeared to be simple, 55 questions to be of a moderate degree, and 15 questions to be somewhat challenging.
  • In our opinion, a student could tackle the entire assignment if they approached it calmly.
  • The overall level of difficulty for the test was similar to prior years, however Chemistry was a little harder than in the previous year.
  • A student who was focused & serious all through the two years in improving speed & accuracy by taking regular quizzes & mock tests on JEE Main pattern, would do reasonably well.
  • It is always a relative performance, which matters in such competitive examinations.
