JoSAA 2020 Eligibility

Candidates shall ensure that the qualification criteria of JoSAA 2020 is met and fulfilled by the candidates. Without doing so, they will be deemed ineligible for JoSAA 2020  Registration. The eligible candidates can then go through JoSAA 2020 important dates and register themselves by paying JoSAA 2020  fees for the form.

For admissions to NITs, the candidates should have qualified JEE Main 2020. There will be a document verification stage whare the conducting authority will check for its validation. Only when the entire required qualification criteria are fulfilled, candidates will be allotted a seat in JoSAA 2020.

JoSAA 2020  Eligibility

To register for the IITs, the candidate should have qualified JEE Advanced 2020  and JEE Main 2020  both. Whereas to register for NITs, IIITs and GFTIs, a candidate should have qualified JEE Mains 2020.

Qualifying Marks

The candidate should have a minimum of 45% aggregate in 12th standard or any equivalent course. While for SC/ST/OBC candidates, the aggregate percentage should be 40% in 12th standard or any equivalent course. And a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in 12th standard is required.

For B.Arch/B.Planning

Candidates who are applying for the Architecture course need to qualify the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) to be eligible for registering under JoSAA.

The candidate should score a minimum of 50% aggregate marks to be eligible for JoSAA in 12th standard in 5 subjects namely Physics, Any 1 Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology or technical vocational subject.

Note: For JoSAA 2020  admissions into other institutes of various states, the eligibility criteria will depend upon the admission authorities of the individual institutes. Each institute or state will have their own JoSAA 2020 eligibility criteria for admissions.
