JEE Main Planning syllabus 2024 involves Mathematics, Aptitude, & DrawingPlanning topics. The Mathematics and the General Aptitude sections are standard for both papers; however, the third section is different. Candidates who have applied for have to attempt the Drawing section & those who have applied for Planning will have to attempt the Planning section.

JEE Mains Planning General Aptitude Syllabus 2024

Part 1: Awareness and Analytical Reasoning

  • Understanding persons, objects, places, buildings, materials, and textures related to architecture and the built environment.
  • Visualizing three-dimensional objects from two-dimensional drawings.
  • Analytical reasoning mental ability in visual, numerical, and verbal aspects.

Part 2: Three-Dimensional Perception and Design

  • Understanding the scale, proportion, color, texture, harmony, and contrast of objects, buildings, and elements.
  • Design and drawing of geometrical and abstract shapes and patterns.
  • Transformation of forms in 2D and 3D (union, subtraction, rotation).
  • Developing surfaces and volumes.

Marks Distribution

  • Students need to answer only 25 questions (20 MCQs and 5 NATs) in the Mathematics section. 
  • The Mathematics section is for 100 Marks.
  • Answer all questions in the General Aptitude section 200 Marks
  • Planning Section 100 Marks
  • Total Marks are 400.
