FAQs on NMAT Result

Q: How long does it take to get NMAT results?

A: Test takers can view the NMAT results immediately after submitting their responses. Following the submission of responses, a window appears that displays the NMAT results. However, the scorecard download facility is available 48 hours after the exam responses have been received. Candidates can download and save the NMAT scorecard for future reference. The scorecard will be presented at the time of admission based on the NMAT scores.

Q: What is the difference between NMAT official and unofficial scorecard?

A: Candidates taking the NMAT exam will receive an unofficial scoring immediately after completing their test responses on testing day. The NMAT score report shows on the screen when the responses are submitted. Candidates will receive their NMAT scorecard, which includes sectional and overall scaled scores, within 48 hours after taking the exam. However, the issuance of the official NMAT scoring may be delayed due to test delivery issues or an audit of online examinations. The official NMAT scorecard will be issued within 5 to 7 business days. The official NMAT scorecard will be considered for admission to NMAT-participating colleges.

Q: When will GMAC release NMAT result 2024?

A: The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) announces the NMAT scores immediately after the exam is completed. However, the scorecard is not immediately available for download following the submission of responses. Candidates can obtain their NMAT scorecard within 48 hours after the test date. The scorecard can be downloaded and saved for future reference while applying to various participating institutes. GMAC will share the best of three exam scores among the NMAT participating institutes chosen by the candidate while applying for the exam.

Q: Which score is considered for NMAT registration?

A: Candidates can take the NMAT up to three times during a single admission session. Candidates can register for NMAT and arrange a test attempt. However, the acceptability of NMAT scores is determined by the participating colleges. All NMAT colleges may reject NMAT scores from any of the three tries. Some NMAT colleges, including NMIMS, will only accept NMAT scores from the first exam try. As a result, attempting the NMAT exam three times will be ineffective if the applicant wishes to get admitted to any of NMIMS's campuses.

Q: What are the details mentioned on NMAT scorecard?

A: Candidates taking the NMAT exam will see their unofficial scoring show on the screen immediately after submitting their responses. The official scorecard is issued within 48 hours of the exam's delivery. The unofficial scorecard and the official scorecard differ in that the former only mentions the scores based on the submitted replies and the marking scheme. While the official NMAT scorecard will include both scaled and percentile scores, which are used to determine admission. The official NMAT scorecard will include the following details: the candidate's name, candidate's NMAT 2024 registration number, scaled score for each section of the NMAT, total scaled score of the candidate, final NMAT Percentile.
