- All candidates are advised to wear simple and comfortable clothes. Candidates are encouraged to wear decent half sleeve tops and proper pants.
- Female candidates are advised to avoid sleeveless and outfits, such as shorts, tank tops, tube tops, and sleepwear.
- Male candidates should refrain from wearing sleeveless shirts. A t-shirt, pants, or decent-length shorts are acceptable choices.
- If candidates need to wear long-sleeved tops for specific reasons, they should inform the exam proctor in advance.

- Candidates need to keep original physical copies of their ID proof with them during the NMAT test. Soft copies and electronic IDs are not accepted as valid proofs.

GMAC has curated a set of guidelines to be followed by all candidates appearing for the NMAT examination. Apart from NMAT dress code 2023 guidelines, candidates can also find below the important guidelines that are to be followed by candidates taking the NMAT 2023 examination:
- All candidates appearing for NMAT 2023 should follow the social distancing norms at all times and maintain space between themselves and other candidates and also with the invigilators at the examination centre.
- It is required to wear masks at all times in the examination centre. Candidates wearing no masks will not be permitted to enter the examination centre.
- Candidates are prohibited from bringing any electronic devices such as mobile phones, watches, calculators, etc inside the examination centre.
- Candidates have also been prohibited from bringing any stationary items to the exam centre.
- Some of the NMAT 2023 exam centres have a provision of lockers which can be used by candidates for proper storage of their backpacks and mobile phones.
