KEAM Qualifying marks 2023 for the General category candidates is 50%, and 40% for candidates from the reserved categories. The KEAM exam consists of two Paper comprising 480 marks each. Candidates belonging to the General category must obtain atleast 240 marks out of 480 and reserved category candidates must secure atleast 192 out of 480 to obtain the qualifying score.

Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE) conducts and determines the qualifying marks of the KEAM exam. The 2023 KEAM exam was conducted on May 17, 2023 and the score cards were released on May 31, 2023. In KEAM.

The qualifying marks for KEAM exam is 240 out of 480 for General category candidates, and KEAM pass mark out of 480 for the Reserved category candidates is 192. This means that in order to be qualified for the KEAM entrance exam, General category candidates have to obtain a minimum of 50% out of the full marks, and the Reserved category candidates must obtain a minimum of 40%.

The KEAM Rank List is prepared based on candidates' Board exam marks and scores achieved in the KEAM entrance examination. Both these scores hold an equal weightage of 50%.

How to Score Good in KEAM Exam?

KEAM pass mark 2023, and the scoring process in the KEAM exam varies for each paper. Candidates willing to pursue Engineering courses are required to attempt both papers.

After combining the individual marks of both papers (480+480), 960 is considered as the total marks for Paper 1 when finalising the rank of the candidates.

For Paper 2 (Maths), 480 is the total mark. Candidates can follow the preparation tips below to score well in the KEAM Exam.

  • In Paper 1, 800+ in total is considered good marks, and for Paper 2, 370+ marks are considered good scores.
  • Candidates appearing in KEAM Exam can achieve good ranks by scoring well in their Boards exam too. This means that the candidates must start preparing for their KEAM exam, as scoring well in Class 12th will increase their chances of getting placed in higher ranks.
  • The goal of the candidate should be achieving more than the KEAM Pass Mark. Candidates must cover their Boards syllabus well in advance, especially the topics in the KEAM entrance exam syllabus; this process will ensure that the candidate is well prepared to score good marks in Class 12th and the KEAM exam as well. This method will benefit the candidates by saving a lot of time for KEAM exam preparation if the same topics in Boards and KEAM exam are done properly before their Boards exam.
  • In 2022, 73977 candidates appeared for the KEAM 2022 examination. Although the number of candidates differs each year, the competition is considered tough, so candidates must prepare to ace the KEAM entrance examination.
  • The KEAM Pass Mark is 240 for General category candidates and 192 for candidates belonging to the Reserved category, but a good score in the KEAM examination is considered to be

Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) is a state-level entrance examination held once every year by the conducting body, Commissioner of Entrance Examination, for admission into the courses such as Forestry, Veterinary, B. Tech Biotechnology, MBBS, Agriculture etc.
