Rajagiri School Of Engineering & Technology (RSET) is a prime educational institution of Kakanand, Kochi which provides excellent engineering education and research to the students. The institute is affiliated by the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala and approved by the All India Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi. It is also accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The mission of the institute is to impart state of the art knowledge to the students in various technical fields. RSET is a part of the Rajagiri Vidyapeetham and its dream is to become a wide network of institutions and centers which will provide quality education from pre-primary to doctoral programs of specialization and super – specializations and to seek the alternatives to the conventional mainstream efforts.

1. Eligibility: Follow KEAM 2024 guidelines and scores.
2. Seat Distribution:

• Government Quota (50%): Filled through KEAM (Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical) by the government.
• College Quota (50%): Reserved for admissions on a merit basis.

Admission Process

1. KEAM Rank: Admissions through KEAM are regulated by combining:

• 50% weightage: Marks obtained in KEAM Engineering Entrance Exam (Paper I & II together).
• 50% weightage: Marks secured in PCM subjects in the qualifying HSC or equivalent exam.

• College quota admissions are conducted based on academic performance and additional admission requirements as per RSET's policies.

For  M.TECH 

• Seat Distribution:
• Government Quota (50%): Filled by the Director of Technical Education (DTE), Kerala based on a rank list.
• College Quota (50%): Admissions are merit-based, primarily considering valid GATE scores.

Admission Process

1. Primary Selection: Based on GATE scores.
2. Non-GATE Candidates: If seats remain vacant, candidates without GATE scores can apply. Selection is based on:

• Marks in the qualifying examination.
• Performance in a test which the college conducts.
• A personal interview for shortlisted candidates.

Eligibility Criteria

• Academic Qualifications:
• General: B.E/B.Tech with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.
• SC/ST Candidates: Pass in the qualifying degree.
• Other Recognized Exams: Minimum 55% marks in AMIE/AMIETE examinations.

Rajagiri School of Engineering & Technology (RSET) Scholarship

RSET offers merit-based scholarships for top performers in the admission merit list. These scholarships are renewable for subsequent years, provided students maintain good academic conduct and meet the prescribed SGPA requirements.

Additionally, students from economically weaker sections who gain admission through the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE) and possess a BPL card or similar documentation are eligible for a 100% fee concession. However, these scholarships are limited to a maximum of ten students.

The sprawling 90-acre campus is located on the banks of the river Chitrapuzha. It lies in close proximity to a large number of industries in the large and small-scale sectors of the industrial belt of Kerala.

• The central Library has 33951 Volumes of books and access to around 350 online journals.
• All computers on the RSET campus are networked and internet-enabled through a 24/7, 150 Mbps 1:1 leased line (90 Mbps Asianet & 60 Mbps
  Vodafone).
• The campus offers separate hostel facilities for boys and girls with Resident Tutors/Wardens to look into the welfare of the students, and
  provide the necessary help.
• A medical center with a full-time nurse is functional on the campus.
• The college post office, officially the Rajagiri Valley Post Office (pin code 682 039) has Speed Post and Electronic Fund Transfer facility.
• There are guest rooms of international standards for faculty coming for short lectures/seminars/conferences etc.
