How to challenge KCET Result 2021?
Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) provide an option for the candidates to challenge the results. Candidates will be able to challenge the KCET result 2021 within three days of declaration. Candidates will be able to challenge the KCET results as per the guidelines issued by the authorities. Also, the authority will release the results of those candidates later. Tie Breaking Criteria for B.Arch
The tie breaking rules for candidates who have have taken up the B.Arch course have been mentioned below.
- If the candidates have scored the same marks in NATA then the merit is determined on the basis of marks obtained in Mathematics in the qualifying exams.
- If the tie still persists, then the age is considered and the elder candidate gets the higher rank
Tie Breaking Criteria for B.Tech and Other Courses
- First consideration is given to Biology/ Mathematics marks
- If the tie still persist, then the marks of the candidates in Chemistry/ Physics will be taken into consideration.
- Even now if the tie still persist, then the marks in respective subjects in the qualifying examination will be used.
- As a last resort, the age of the candidates will be considered. The elder candidate will be allocated higher rank.
Note: If the above-mentioned ways to break the tie fails, KEA will use the draw of lots method. According to this, the merit list shall be allocated by draw which will be purely on luck basis.
What next after KCET Result?
Once the KCET result is announced, candidates can start the registration for the counselling process. The registration can be done by visiting the official website of Karnataka Examination Authority. Once the candidate gets the verification slip, they can proceed for filling the choices of courses and colleges as per their choice. KCET Result 2020 Statistics
As per the KCET result statistics shared by the Karnataka Examination Authority, the Physics paper was attended by 90.23% of candidates (approx 1,75,428) while (approx 1,75,337) 90.10% of candidates attended the Chemistry test. The same for Biology and Mathematics, on Thursday, was 79.90% and 91.92% respectively.
KCET Counselling 2021
Karnataka Examination Authority will conduct the counselling for the candidates who qualified for the KCET exam in online mode. Candidates who are shortlisted based on KCET ranks/merit list will be called for participating in the counselling process. The KCET counselling process will include the following steps- Online Registration, Document verification, Choice filling and locking. The allotment of the seats will be done based on ranks secured by the candidates, their preferences and the availability of seats.
