KCET Registration 2024 window was reopened by the authority on the official website. The last date to apply for the exam is Apr 12, 2024, till 5 PM. Registered students can pay the KCET application 2024 fee by Apr 12, 2024, up to 5 PM. Students who failed to pay the application fee or have not selected CET in the combined application will have to visit the KEA office and submit their application form.

Applicants will also have to submit the DD of INR 600 in favor of the Executive Director, KEA, Bangalore, along with the application form.

The conducting officials have released the KCET 2024 important guidelines regarding the registration process for KCET 2024. Candidates must check the guidelines shared. According to the schedule, KCET exam is scheduled to take place on Apr 18 and Apr 19, 2024.

The notification released by exam officials mandates a window of correction from Apr 1 to Apr 15, 2024, for students who applied for reservations but were listed under "General Merit". The mismatch occurred due to a discrepancy between the candidate's name in the RD certificate and the SSLC mark sheet.

KCET registration 2024 was reactivated on Mar 30, 2024 by the conducting authority on the official website. Applicants must note that the last date to fill out the application form is Apr 12, 2024. Candidates can pay the fee till Apr 12, 2024 (till 5 PM).

KCET 2024 RD Certificate Correction

As per the latest notification released by Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) on Feb 20, 2024, many candidates were categorised under "General Merit" instead of their reservation category. This occurred due to a mismatch between the student's name in the RD Certificate and the SSLC scorecard.

To rectify this, KEA released a list of applicants who claimed reservation status but could not be considered for it, on Feb 28, 2024. Candidates must review this list and get their name rectified on the RD certificate to match it to the SSLC mark sheet. Students will have a window to rectify this and upload their correct RD certificate between Apr 1 to Apr 15, 2024.

• Applicants applying for the ex-defence certificates through the Seva Sindhu Portal can either use their Army Number or CET application number to fill in the application form.
• Students who have studied for 7 years in Karnataka and completed their 10th from Karnataka need not submit any 11th or 12th certificate during the application form filling.

Candidates need not submit any document if the above information has been fetched from the SATS Database.

• Applicants need to upload their certificate of 1st to 10th standard if they are claiming Religious/ Linguistic Minority reservations.
• It will be fine if the schools/colleges issue the study certificate as the documents uploaded by the candidates will be sent to the BEO/DDPU for verification. The countersignature of BEO/DDPU is not required.

KCET Eligibility Criteria 2024

To be eligible for the KCET exam, students need to meet certain criteria prescribed by the conducting authorities. Below are the KCET Eligibility Criteria 2024 for the exam:

• Students must have completed at least 7 years of education in government or recognized institutions in Karnataka, starting from 1st standard to 2nd PUC/12th standard.
• Students must have successfully finished the 1st and 2nd year Pre-University Examination or 11th and 12th standard within Karnataka. Additionally, at least one parent should have studied in Karnataka for seven years.
• Students must have Kannada, Tulu, or Kodava as their mother tongue and pass the qualifying examination from an institution outside Karnataka while residing outside
• Students with Kannada, Tulu, or Kodava as their mother tongue in specific areas outside Karnataka may need to take a Kannada Language test.
• Those who have studied for ten full academic years in Kannada Medium outside Karnataka are exempt from the Kannada Language test.
